    Very disappointing

    rating30 Mar 2026

The location was lovely, hence the 3* review but that’s about all. The room smelled sweaty when we went in. We booked a room and also half board. The meal on our first night was lovely. There weren’t enough staff as there was a large group of cyclists staying at the resort and the service was very slow but the food was good. The second day we decided to go to the spa for the hot tub, we thought this was included in the room rate, it wasn’t. We were asked to pay 70€ which is extortionate so we declined. We went down for evening meal, again just 2 people serving everyone including the cycling party. Our starters arrived, very nice. We both ordered steaks, 1 medium rare 1 well done. A couple came in around 10-15 minutes after us and sat a few tables away. About 20 minutes after our starters had been completed I noticed a waiter take steaks down to the other couple, there was a discussion and one of the steaks was taken back into the kitchen. A short while later another dish was taken out to the other table. About 25 minutes after that a waiter looked over at our table and noticed we were still waiting for our main course, shortly after 2 steaks came out. My partner’s steak was hot sadly mine was cold, it wasn’t even warm. I had a couple if bites and couldn’t eat it. I tried to get the waiters attention but he didn’t look at us. I got up and walked over to speak to him and explained my steak was cold, he came over and took it away along with my side dishes which were on the plate. About few minutes the plate came out, just the steak on the plate, the waiter said be careful the plate is hot. The plate was hot, the steak was lukewarm. They had put the steak on a new hot plate but my side dishes were missing. We had to share the remaining chips and vegetables between us. I ate it as I didn’t want to make a fuss but it was very disappointing. The other couple had obviously been served our steaks and my steak was sat in the kitchen until the other one was cooked. I had ice cream for dessert, 2 very small half scoops which had melted by the time I got them. The meal was very disappointing and not what we expected from a 4* hotel. When we woke up on our last morning it had been raining through the night, I walked over to the window and slipped. There was a large puddle of water which had come through the door onto the terrace and it had wet the curtains they were dripping. The seal in the door wasn’t good as it was windy and it was very noisy during the nights. Amazing views and location

    rating26 Feb 2026

We stayed for 4 nights with half board. Our room, 102 was on the lower level. It was very comfortable but there was often noise from what we believed was the pool filter since it was only one room away from the pool. Try to get a room with a higher number than 101 or 102. The meals, breakfast and dinner were always good. Breakfasts had a good variety of items and you can order al a carte as well. For dinners you get a choice of starter, main and dessert. Come hungry since the starters could be main course, they were so big. The quality and presentation were good. We would definitely recommend this Paradores to other travelers Gonzalo Alejo Mielgo, Other at Parador De Cruz De Tejeda, responded to this review Dear Doug,Thak you very much for sharing your opinion with tripadvisor community. We are glad you have enjoyed your stay and gastronomy and hope you visit us again on the future. Thanks and kind regards,

    Unforgettable experience

    rating18 Feb 2026

Outstanding hotel. Room had an amazing view. Spa was excellent and we really enjoyed dinner. Bar became very busy at sunset, as you would expect with such a location, but this caused delays to service/cleaning tables. Rooms were big, spotlessly clean and had everything needed. Spa experience was amazing too. I would definitely return and recommend. A wonderful place to stay

    rating10 Feb 2026

We loved this Parador. The views are extraordinary and unforgettable. The hotel is very comfortable and the staff, without exception, are friendly, efficient, polite and very hard working. The food was good. We have only two small gripes. There should be a bigger team of staff in the restaurant and cafe/bar - the staff are overworked and the small teams meant that it could be hard to get attention. It should be noted though, the staff never complained or were anything other than cheerful and polite. Also the location is beautiful but apart from walking and going to the spa there is little to do, it would be perfect if there was also a swimming pool Gonzalo Alejo Mielgo, Other at Parador De Cruz De Tejeda, responded to this review Dear Rachel,Thank you very much for sharing your opinion with tripadvisor community. We are glad you have enjoyed your stay and take note your comments. We hope you visit us again on the future. Thanks and kind regards,

Well appointed hotel in superb location 5.000 feet above sea level - most of the time we were there we were above the clouds. Views to the coast and sea beyond, with distant views of Tenerife and Mount Tidie. Service at the hotel generally good and staff all welcoming. Gonzalo Alejo Mielgo, Other at Parador De Cruz De Tejeda, responded to this review Dear matthewpetzold,Thank you very much for sharing your opinion with tripadvisor community. We are glad you have enjoyed one of the most stunning views in Canarias, service and especially your positive opinion about Staff.
