Location

This apartment complex is located above Puerto Rico and has been built in a terraced style on the hillside meaning that the sprawling complex offers wonderful views out over the harbour and the bay. In the immediate vicinity, guests will find shops, restaurants and bars. The beach is approximately 1500 m away and can be reached by making use of the regular public bus service. Links to the public transport network are located in the hotel's vicinity (50 m), and it is approximately 57 km to Gran Canaria Airport.

Facility

The apartment hotel welcomes guests in a 13-storey building with 2 lifts and 259 rooms. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) is provided in public areas. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. Everyday necessities can be purchased at the supermarket. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Rooms

Meals

    If Temu did a hotel it would be this one. Looks great online. However the room we stayed in was very small no Aircon very noisy. The reception staff are not very welcoming and some of the bar staff are not very friendly. The whole hotel could do with updating. There are a number of cracked tiles around the pool area and flaking paint around the edge of the pool. Some of the pool rules are strict like not pool balls or floats. Yet they let people jump off the edge of the pool which gets really annoying. The food is the same day in day out . The entertainment is the worst I have seen in any hotel I have stayed in.     Fabulous resort with spectacular outlook

    We almost changed our accommodation based on the reviews however we had a great time here. We stayed in a sea view 1 bed apartment, bed and breakfast. The breakfast selection was excellent. My husband turned 50 during our stay, he was brought a bottle of champagne and the lady who brought it sang happy birthday to him. The pool is fabulous and added bonus it’s heated. The staff around the pool are brilliant engaging everyone and knowing when not to go near people who wanted to be left alone. The room was spotless and cleaned regularly. We stay in 3* accom a lot and I had to say it was on par with what we stay in yes slight defects on walls etc but this is just wear and tear we see these in 4* or 5* hotels also. The only thing I didn’t like was the spotlights in the room stayed on allNight so a constant extremely dim light in the room. The views well this is what attracted me to the apartments A1. The balcony was huge chairs, table and 2 sun loungers and loads of space left even with them. We didn’t use the lift as preferred to use the steps in the complex. So the hill up yes them steps are tough but taxi is only 6 euro. Overall loved our stay and most def will stay again.     We loved it but Its 3 Star! Dont book if your looking for anything more and then complain!!!

    Its a 3 star hotel so expect it! DONT go here if you want a luxery experience and then write a bad review because you didnt do your research! Its not fair on millions of others who will love it! The View! - WOW I could sit and look out all day from anywhere on the resort as it is right at the top! If you have mobility problems DO NOT go here as there are lifts from top to bottom but all floors require a few steps which are quiet steep.You have to take your own luggage to the room (as far as I know, I may be wrong?) and you definately work off the food you eat!. My freind and I counted 880 steps from the puerto Rico beach to the topof the resort and we made it our mission to do the steps every day! (we did 6 of 7)Rooms - Basic and scruffy but its a place to lay your head, sheets clean (changed once in a week) and bath towels are good. Water power is great and bathroom large. PLenty of wardrobe space and hangers but no Drawers or bedside table? We pulled a chair from the kitchen as a bedside table which worked fine. Nice big lunge area with comfy chairs and a Massive balcony with sun beds, chairs, table and umberella! The view again was WOW. We loved to relax on the balcony rather than around the pool, we just went for a swim (and water aerobics daily) which suited us perfectly.Food - Something for everyone! I had no complaints except the white of the fried eggs often underdone and fish unfortunately incinerated! We kept asking them to remove it from the griddle for us but they did not understand unfortunatley. There was aways something and I was always full.Staff - Friendly and working hard. Some chatty others not but this maybe the langage barrier as many had limited English which does not worry us. I cant speak their langage so not a problem to me.Area - We didnt frequent the bars nearby (there are some at the top) as we was All Inclusive, so cannot comment on restaurants and bars. We tended to go out in the afternoons down to nearby bays. We caught a bus to Maspolammas to see the sand dunes and we also caught a bus to Playa de Mogan which is a beautiful fishing village. You can pay 8 euro and get a water taxi back to Puetro Rico Harbour which was brilliant (you can go both ways for 14 euro) Buses to both places was less that 5 euros for both of us.Entertainment was ok.. Not to everyones taste of standard but we sat further back and enjoyed the evenings. They had Quizes (people cheat), bingo, singers and magic - We had a laugh and met some great people.I will definately go back - Id love to take my Mum as she would love it but unfortunately the steps make it not suitable so it will be a holiday with friends again!Well done to all!     5 day getaway!

    Super staff great food deep pool comfortable bed amazing views, all you need in your room shower toilet hair dryer fresh linen and towels, we did all inclusive which was value for money superb location.Just one down side ……no air conditioning so I can imagine July August and September being a bit uncomfortable at night other than that I would definitely recommend and return Servatur Hotels, General Manager at Servatur Riosol, responded to this review Dear Russelle,Thank you for your excellent rating and for sharing your positive experience with us.     Sceptical after booking but we had the best time.

    We were sceptical about the holiday, as after we booked a lot of negative reviews started coming in with almost no positives. But it was a last minute booking so we had to go or lose the money.... However! As a family of 4 we had an amazing time. Our flight was delayed by 2 hours so we didn't arrive to the hotel until midnight, the receptionist was happy, chatty and friendly. As we had missed dinner, he handed us a bag of sandwiches and water. The sandwiches were pretty dry but the gesture was appreciated.Room was basic was everything we needed for a good night's sleep every day. Had an issue with the shower flooding on our first day, but called reception and they sent someone to sort it straight away. Issue resolved within 10 minutes from us calling. Lift worked most days, there were a couple of days where only one worked but can't even complain about that really. We were all inclusive, food was lovely, and there were meals or snacks available nearly all day. Do not take food out from the restaurant at snack time! We did a couple of days as others did so we assumed it was ok, then on the last day we got called back by a member of staff and told no! We didnt realise he was calling us at first so kept walking and he ran to stop us. Cocktails were watery unless you paid for a premium one but they were only about €5 I think, so we treated ourselves a few times.Always sunbeds available, pool was lovely and warm. Entertainment on every evening. Pool games and sports during the day every day. We were in room 3060 which is in floor 1, reception, pool etc floor 4, but even when the lift wasn't working, getting from our room to the restaurant wasn't horrendous (my partner has arthritis in his knees and said as a one off he was ok but if that was everyday he wouldn't have been able to do it).Maids came 5 out of the 7 days. Which is exactly what I had read somewhere that they should do. Always saw staff cleaning and doing things like painting to keep the place looking fresh. It does need upgrading here and there but there was nothing that prevented us having a great holiday.Views were beautiful, is definitely book again, partner would but he'd just make sure he wore a knee support next time - bought one and he kept forgetting Servatur Hotels, General Manager at Servatur Riosol, responded to this review Dear Karen,Thank you for your good rating and for sharing such a detailed and honest review of your stay.
