  Don’t let the bad reviews put you off

  My family have just returned from a 10 night stay at turbo club, we were all very sceptical from reading the reviews that this was going to be a holiday from hell. We had an absolute blast! We arrived at the hotel quite late, and the staff had kept some food for us all down in the restaurant after travelling. Food was average, always something we would eat, a lot of chips, porks, tuna and grilled chicken most days. Breakfast was the same thing every morning, and dinner was themed a couple times a week. Location might be a problem for some families, there is nothing near by, and the on site spar shop was closed which meant a 20 minute walk to the local shop. Taxis were cheap enough, around about €7-10 euros each way to get down to the beach or to any livelier place. Entertainment was actually surprisingly okay! 2 shows per week, on a Tuesday & Thursday, some bits going on round the main pool during the day Pools were lovely and clean, no need to fight for a bed around the quiet pool, although the main pool did get busy and beds were a bit sparse then Rooms were clean upon arrival, stocked with a mini fridge, you have to pay for safe hire, kettle and iron hire if you want. The restaurant, reception and pool bar staff were amazing! They work super hard and are really friendly. Some others were a bit annoyed that the pool bar staff are also working in the restaurant, so will be running backwards and forwards when you stand by for a drink. Ultimately shows that they are working very hard! Negatives that we encountered: - the cleaning staff were quite rude. One shouted at my 5 year olds who thought the mini club was open when they were cleaning it. - another cleaner refused to clean our room the day before we were leaving, because we were packing and had a suitcase out on the bed and one on the floor to pack our clothes back up. They left a sarcastic note. - there is no way of telling the cleaners if you don’t want to be disturbed. They come in anyway. - the cleaning is sub par when you are in the room, by the end of the holiday, my feet were black from dust and dirt from the floors walking in our room barefoot only. - late check out isn’t always available, our flight was at 10 past 10 at night, we had to vacate our room at 11am, and with 2 small children, we had no place for them to rest or nap for the day while we were waiting- the complimentary room they give you, is only for 30 minutes for a whole family, and is made of 2 showers a sink and a toilet only. The room is questionably clean, and felt like a haven for getting veruccas, make sure you pack some shower shoes or flip flops if you use them.Overall, we had a great time! Don’t let the bad reviews put you off! A heads up that the hotel is undergoing major works, so at times you are hearing drilling and works being completed, but for us this didn’t affect anything. And remember… you get what you pay for! Don’t expect 5 star luxury! Day trips we recommend highly is palmitos park! And we done a camel ride trip, which they looked after the camels really well!

  First thing when we arrived the local shop was closed for 3 weeks the next nearest shop was a 20 minute walk away, only 2 beds in the room and we are a family of 4 so one of us was on a very uncomfortable sofa the other on a metal camp bed, food was always like warm never hot sausages pink in the middle, entertainment was shocking and only on for 3 nights out of the week the other days we went to holiday world which consisted of 4 decent rides, pools are saltwater, staff were nice enough, wasn’t aloud late check out despite there being lots of empty rooms had to leave the room at 11am and transfers wasn’t until 6pm

  Lovely wee place bar the Construction work

  Hotel is under construction, Noise each day going on some nights till 7pm .The Spar shop which we rely on was closed and under construction , it was a good 10 minute walk to the nearest supermarket for water and other essentials, then a taxi back if you could convince the store assistant to ring you one .There was no mention of any works being carried out either via jet2 or Hays travel, which I find very odd .I challenge people behind reception to post what's happening on there Facebook page but this still hasn't been done , I'm sure people would rather know the Hotel is under construction before they arrive there than find out on arrival.Very friendly staff , clean rooms , food is ok for a two star , entertainment was poor again.

  Went may 4th ,weather great,clean rooms/staff excellent all work very hard ,food average not very hot,used microwave,pool lovely,only reason won’t return one poolside bar !!!day or night one bar good job weather was good to sit outside! Lots of steps too if you unsteady on feet.this rates as 2star hotel which is good value for money ,thank you to all staff they always hard working and friendly.😍

  Excellent again!

  Just got back from our 8th visit to turbo club and already looking to book again.Lovely apartments, everywhere clean,always something to eat unless your incredibly fussy. Staff in my opinion are excellent. The wife has mobility issues and needs a ground floor apartment Natalia on reception is always accommodating. Very peaceful. For a 2 star it's excellent 😀Ca
