  Just stayed 14 nights in a 2 bedroom apt . I have stayed in many hotels and apts in Puerto Rico which some of them are much more expensive than the Vistamar however the rooms at the Vistamar are by far the best in Puerto Rico. Fantastic holiday with my family. The pool bar could offer so much more though. It requires a couple of one hour Happy Hours to keep it ticking over in my opinion. For the price paid it should also offer free pool towels to keep in the high end feel.Other than the above minor suggestions I will definitely be back very soon

  Amazing apartments

  We stayed here in April as a family of 12 and it is by far the best apartments we have ever stayed in. The views were stunning, beach is 10 steps away and everything else in walking distance. There’s a small supermarket next door and some lovely restaurants a few meters away. We had a wonderful time, the apartments and pool were very clean and modern, the pool area and sunbeds were cleaned every night and the apartment every 1-2 days. The cleaning staff were fantastic and very friendly. There was a lifeguard on duty whilst the pool was open. Staff on the front desk were very accommodating and would help us book taxis and advise us on anything else we needed. The pool bar was amazing, the staff that ran it were so friendly, we ate here so many times and the food was always delicious and fresh, the cocktails were lovely too and they had everything you could want. The apartments have everything you need for a holiday, all the essentials you would expect. There were TVs in the bedrooms and lounge, A/C, plenty of seats inside and out, a safe and all the kitchen essentials and a full size fridge. We were never short of space for our belongings. The beds were comfortable and the wardrobes sufficient for the amount of clothes we brought. The bathroom was spacious and the shower was very good We will 100% stay here again, as our first time in Gran Canaria we can’t wait to come back and even tried to book extra nights we loved it that much!

  Lovely relaxing holiday

  I couldn't fault this hotel . We have had a lovely stay here and the staff are just lovely. It is close to everything and buses can be caught just behind the apartments and taxis are just down the road at the front . I was a bit worried it might be noisy with being on the front but we had the best sleep every night. The bar by the pool serves lovely food and again the bar staff were great . The rooms are so clean very modern and very big with great views of the sea . Such a relaxing holiday we didn't want to leave . We will definitely stay here again .   Such a lovely stay! Hotel XQ Vistamar in Puerto Rico is best situated, right next to beautifull beach. Rooms are spacious and light coloured. Beds are comfortable and new, clean matresses and memoryfoam-like pillows that are very good to sleep. There is a full kitchen you can prepare meals and there is a small restaurant by the pool. There are lovely people at the restaurant and you can get various foods and desserts and drinks there. Pool is cold (21degrees), that's only con! There is a washing machine to be used 5€/time, good with kids! And towels (for pool AND beach!) can be rented for 4€, it eases you to back. Restaurants and mini-markets are right next to hotel, and also ferry you can take to neighbour-villages. We traveled with my 6-year old in the beginning of january, I hope to return someday. For us it was a perfect weather, felt hot and summery but not too hot, walking was ok without swetting. I think it was 19-21 in shade during the day. Some clouds mostly around the mountains and at the sea. In the sun it felt 24 and more. We got inside and to sleep right when it got dark about 18pm, after that and in the mornings before sun was up it was chilly, many went jogging for it wasn't too hot for it. One thing got us a bit worried was an jellyfish -like- venomos animal called Portugese man o war, there were several observations and we saw one, but we swam still with no problems.   Just got back from this hotel and I would highly recommend its got a view of the sea and its central. The pool area is spotless it has a lovely little eating area and the couple who work there will go above and beyond for you. Rooms were very spacious clean lovely kitchenette free safe and air-conditioning which I think is a bonus. Front desk staff are very friendly willing to help and nothing is to much. There was one problem I had the information man singing outside first day wasn't to bad just thought he was happy with his job but a week later and he's still singing and killing them he was the only downfall but a set of headphones drowned him out.
