Location

This hotel is situated in the city centre of Granada, only 5 minutes from the cathedral and a 15-minute walk from Alhambra. Various shopping and entertainment venues are located in the immediate vicinity. There is a bus stop located 100 m from the hotel. Granada airport is 12 km away. Sierra Nevada ski slopes are just 30 minutes away by car. The Mediterranean coast is located 45 minutes away by car.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 283 rooms, including 2 suites, 48 single rooms and 216 double rooms, located in two 8-storey buildings with lifts. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities.     Fantastic hotel with parking options and very central to everything

    My daughter and i stayed at this hotel for 3 nights on a recent trip to Granada we booked a superior room which had a brilliant comfy bed and spacious bathroom i would have no complaints about the room apart from the noise from the street in the early hours but no fault of the hotel - the staff work extremely hard in the restaurant and the bar we had breakfast two mornings which we paid 15€ and was well worth it compared to other places in the city there was a wide selection of fresh fruit fresh sourdough bread and eggs made while you wait would defo recommend and we ended each evening in the bar with a drink and maybe a dessert to share one night we had tacos they were so helpful especially two wee older men who are sooo efficient didn’t catch their names but nothing was too much trouble we also used the rooftop pool which was a welcome relief after a warm day in the city thanks to all st the wonderful hotel would defo recommend it 100% Hotel- cmanager, Owner at Barcelo Carmen Granada, responded to this review Dear Janice, Please accept our sincere thanks for this glowing review.While we regret any disturbances during your stay, we are delighted your room provided comfort and space.     Nice modern hotel but avoid courtyard rooms

    Nice hotel but we were disappointed by the design of our courtyard double room and would not have booked it had we known that there was no way to prevent light from the courtyard coming in to our room at night. There should be a cover or curtains on this window.     Nice City Centre Hotel

    This is a modern hotel situated in the city centre with good bus links to the Alhambra if you don't fancy tackling the steep climb. We were in the city for the first weekend in May which coincided with the Dia De La Cruz celebrations. The city is decorated with red flower crosses, shawls and ceramics and the hotel was no different with a shrine in the foyer. Although the room was a basic double, it had everything we needed including a beautiful, sparkling clean bathroom. We ate at La Santa Maria, their Tapas restaurant, which was very popular - the later it got, the more people appeared. Their breakfast buffet was also very good. The only thing that we found disappointing was our inability to enjoy the rooftop terrace. We went up in the late afternoon but there was a queue and the music was thumping so we beat a hasty retreat.     We originally selected Barcelo Carmen Granada because we wanted a hotel that was near the historic center but also close to a carpark. We were also interested in the rooftop bar/pool area. When we arrived to check in, we were very pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to our room. The room was wonderful - quite spacious and very comfortable and the staff was extremely helpful.
