Great location. No frills. Spotlessly clean.

Brilliant basic and clean hotel, just a few minutes walk out of the city centre. Fridge in the room and a common room with tables and chairs, a kettle and microwave, crockery and cutlery. There’s mini market a minute’s walk from the hotel to buy some essentials, if you’re watching the cost. Then plenty of bars and restaurants very nearby. No frills, but excellent location, very friendly, and spotlessly clean.

It had a pretty good space that we could work in days. Pretty clean nice room. the locations is perfect; there are a lot of great restaurants around it.I booked a twin or double room, and they gave me two single beds. when I explained that I took another kinda room, I don't either the guy didn't understand what I said, or he was saying that's none of my business.

We arrived shortly after they closed at 9pm. The streets are too narrow to even stop for a minute. We had to park far away and walk to the property. Had no idea this hotel closes its doors at 9pm which is unusual for hotel type accommodations. There was no notice on the door about late arrivals. We called the hotel immediately and could not reach them. Hotel declined refund.

Stayed for 2 nights on a room only basis. Spotlessly clean and very friendly staff. Rooms have a good mini fridge, and there is a kitchen next to Reception with a kettle, microwave, cutlery and crockery. Bus stop outside goes to the Alhambra for €1.40. Good selection of bars outside the hotel, and about a 10 minute stroll to the Cathedral, or Bib Rambla all on the flat. At the start of the narrow road to the hotel is a roundabout. Here is the Marquis’s sister hotel - great for breakfast. Scrambled eggs, bread, coffee and a large bowl of fruit & yogurt will set you up for the day for under €10. Just around the corner you can catch the C32 bus to Albaicin for €1.40. Lovely views going up a very steep climb. Get out at St Nicolas Square at the top. There are a couple of cafés next to the square where you can enjoy a coffee or beer, with the most amazing views of the Alhambra, then catch the bus or walk downhill (about 20 mins) back into the centre. We were worried about driving and parking in Granada, so we parked up in a little town outside of Granada, called El Fargue (coming in from Murcia), and caught the N8 bus in. Cost €1.40, and travels down the only main road through every hour, just after the hour, to Jardines del Triunfo, which is the other end of the main Gran Via de Colon - a 15 min flat stroll from the hotel, or a 5 min taxi ride. N8 bus returns to El Fargue from the same place at half past the hour. Saved the stress and expense of driving and parking in the City. Very successful. We will certainly do it again, and we will also stay at the Marquis Urban again.

Stayed for four days. Lobby, atrium and breakfast room attractively decorated. Air conditioned rooms, comfy beds. Bathrooms not refurbished, but perfectly good. Lovely, if very hot, roof terrace with views across city. Very helpful staff gave good recommendations and printed our bus ticketsExcellent central location. Hotel is close to the Alhambra (15 mins walk uphill or get bus outside hotel), lovely pedestrianised streets of bars/restaurants, cathedral and main shopping area. For veggies/vegans, highly recommend nearby Wild Food restaurant. Noat Coffee only two mins walk does great, er, coffee.
