Location

The hotel is situated at the very centre of Granada. The cathedral is just a 3 minutes' walk, the Alhambra Palace is 10 minutes and the Albaicín district is 15 minutes away. Sierra Nevada National Park is just 20 minutes away by car, with its ski resorts and marvellous landscapes. The Costa Tropical, with its wonderful beaches where guests can enjoy a wonderful climate almost all year round, can be reached in 40 minutes by car. Federico García Lorca Granada-Jaén Airport is around 15 km away, and Málaga Airport is some 130 km away.

Facility

The hostel has a lift and features 2 single rooms and 22 double rooms. English-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk are happy to answer any questions. The hostel provides a baggage storage service, a safe, a TV room, medical assistance and a smoke alarm. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Parking facilities available to guests include a garage and a car park (for a fee).

Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests are sure to get a good night's sleep in the double bed. Extra beds can be requested.     Great location (about 20 minutes from the train station, close to so many nice restaurants and touristic attractions. It does not offer breakfast but you can find many places near by! Granada is a wonderful city and this is a nice hostal what is not going to break your pocket.

    You would not believe the level of comfort this place has , it was brilliant, the staff were exceptional as was the location, wouldn’t think twice about booking again , while you’re there visit Plaze Nueva a 10minute walk down the road and call in at the Plaza 3 restaurant and say hello to Miguel and all the staff you will get a wonderful welcome and as a bonus you’ll find the food and drink excellent

    Been traveling South America for a bit over a month now. This hostel was definitely one of the best. The premises are very clean. The staff were seeing cleaning places every day, even dusting the plastic plants.People there are very friendly and nice. We had booked a room for 2 persons. They let us choose between a small double bed room and a bigger 3 bed room, for the same price. We chose the bigger one. Room was clean and comfortable. Showers had very hot water and there was also a heater in the room. Wifi worked mostly without issues.Breakfast was also very good. Basic bread with butter, yogurt, fruits, cereal and fried/scrambled eggs on request. Coffee wasn't usual instant coffee bags, but they actually brewed it in a small pot. And it was tasty!Location is not the best, but Copacabana is such a small place it doesn't really matter. You can walk in couple of minutes to the main street. On the plus side, it was fairly quiet area. Choose this hostel and your stay in Copacabana will be excellent.

    Great location and staff, clean and very good for those looking to save money on accommodation

    I stayed here for 3 nights. Check in from 2pm and check out by 12pm. The staff are great and very helpful. When the bath was draining too slow and toilet not flushing they sorted it in no time. I was looking for somewhere cheap with air con and clean. There is so much to see in Granada so didn't want to spend too much time indoors. When I did I had a comfy bed, TV (hardly watched) and very decent wifi. I got a very good deal for the 3 nights. Also they allowed you to leave your case if you came before check in or had a later flight. If you are looking for something more 4/5 star then this is not for you as a budget accommodation but with all you need and clean and tidy. I slept well no noise as was mentioned in another review. Each day the cleaner cleaned my room and left clean towels. I will be back at Sonia for sure.

    Hostal Sonia is a hotel, not a hostel, but good budget choice. Very clean, daily housekeeping. Excellent wifi, a/c and clean blankets already in room if nights turn chilly. Walking distance to cathedral, basilica, tapas rabernas; on bus routes for in/out of city; easy location for Sacramonte flamenco shuttles. ASSISTANT MANAGER JUAN JOSE ("Johnny") ESPECIALLY FRIENDLY, HELPFUL. Prompt & continuous email responses. Received, held, and delivered entertainment tickets sent to hotel: TRUSTWORTHY!
