    Underwhelming disappointment, would not recommend

    rating29 Mar 2026

We had an overall unfortunate experience here at Hotel Turia Granada for several reasons.Firstly, despite the March weather being merely in the 60s F, the room we were assigned was terribly hot and stuffy. What made this matter worse was that the hotel dictated the temperature, and whether or not air conditioning could be run and to what degree. Opening the window provided no relief. It was also extremely loud outside and made sleep nearly impossible. We switched to a second room, which was cooler. However, the bathroom was infested with ants. Even after calling in staff to address it, the ants persisted. Finally, we were switched to a third room. This was also cooler, and on a quieter side of the building. With an open window, we had a decent night's sleep. However, there were silverfish in the bathroom of this one, and the bathroom had clear water damage and a cracked toilet.Overall, this hotel is extremely tired, and in need of maintenance. We had tried to leave immediately after checkin, but refunds were not allowed. The only bright spots were Eva and Maria at the front desk, who tried to help us by switching our room twice.

Unsafe plumbing (cracked porcelain) and bad sewer smell from shower

    rating01 Mar 2026

Horrible experience. When we arrived at the room, we noticed that the toilet had multiple deep cracks -- if you're unaware, this is *VERY dangerous as cracked porcelain can cut through arteries and to the bone.We informed them how dangerous it is, and how they'd likely be fined by hotel authorities. They claimed the cracks were "safe" (photos are attached, any plumber can visibly tell this is absolutely not the case). They told us they would change our room and put another guest in the room. Thankfully we got another room, but it's clear they did not take the issue seriously. Specifically, they are actively choosing to prioritize the daily revenue earned by keeping that room occupied over the 5% chance that a guest can be cut to the bone if it does indeed crack. The replacement room they put us in had a horrid sewer smell coming from the shower drain. We kept the window open in the night to help reduce the smell. Nice hotel with parking

    rating08 Feb 2026

Quite a few steps up to the reception, but I did notice a chair lift, great staff, on reception and in bar, drinks are a bit pricey but come with tapas. Lift from garage to rooms, cost was €20 a day. There is a dining room on site, just down the road is the trams when you can get a day ticket for €4.50 . Few bars and restaurants around, unfortunately we had solid rain for the 3 days we were there. Lorena Guillem, Guest Services / Front Office at Hotel Turia Granada, responded to this review Hello JANMARKET,Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re pleased to hear you felt well looked after by our reception and bar teams and that you found the garage access and onsite dining convenient. It’s also great to know the nearby tram was useful and that you enjoyed the tapas with your drinks. We appreciate your notes about the steps and pricing; feedback like this helps us continually refine the guest experience. We’re sorry the weather didn’t cooperate during your stay and hope your next visit brings sunshine so you can enjoy more of the area.Kind regards,Hotel Turia Granada

    Disappointing

    rating28 Dec 2025

Hotel in great location, excellent public transport, food was not great, breakfast was ok but dinner in the evening was bland unimaginative and not to normal Spanish standard. Christmas Eve bar was closed so no pre dinner cocktails even though they were advertised on the whole it was ok. Lorena Guillem, Guest Services / Front Office at Hotel Turia Granada, responded to this review Dear Venture794016,Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are glad to know you appreciated our location and the convenience of public transport, and that breakfast met your expectations. At the same time, we are sorry to hear that dinner did not meet the standard you anticipated and that you found it bland and unimaginative. We also understand the disappointment regarding the bar being closed on Christmas Eve when you expected to enjoy pre-dinner cocktails, particularly if they were advertised. We value the clarity of your observations; they help us better understand your experience and what mattered most during your stay.Thank you once again for your visit. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back on a future occasion. All the best!Hotel Turia Granada

Good, but could be even better

    rating13 Sept 2025

Great check in. Room ready early. Great location just around the corner from the train station, a 15 - 20 nice walk into the main historic centre. If you don’t like walking then you’re in luck as the no 21 & no33 stop right outside the door. Use 1 of these to take you to the cathedral stop then a short walk to another bus to take you straight to the Alhambra ticket office on the same bus ticket if you get your connection within the hour.Lovely buffet breakfast, though short staffed 1 morning. Had to ask twice for some cutlery.Note to hotel: a window cleaner wouldn’t go amiss. And you could make so much more of the sun terrace near the plunge pool & spa. Get rid of the fake grass in place of some nice tiles, invest in some nicer furniture, including sun beds with cushion, install a proper bar or maybe just a phone & waiter service and before you know it you’d have a popular well used area. Lorena Guillem, Guest Services / Front Office at Hotel Turia Granada, responded to this review Hello Will M,We are pleased to know that you had an enjoyable stay at Hotel Turia Granada. It is wonderful to hear that our location and facilities served you well and that you appreciated the breakfast buffet. We value your feedback regarding the sun terrace and will certainly take your suggestions into account as we strive to enhance our guest experience. We hope your travels bring you back to Granada soon and we get the chance to welcome you back. All the best!Hotel Turia Granada
