The Granada Paradore is a MUST!

    rating15 May 2026

Unbelievably, there were some negative reviews of this wonderful paradore. And, if don’t know, “paradores” are government owned hotels throughout Spain. They are all in historic buildings such as castles, monasteries, etc. The one in Granada is no exception. It is inside the Alhambra which is a 1,500 year old Moorish palace. The hotel and rooms are great and the staff was absolute 5-star. Highly recommend! Marian Montero Cuadrado, General Manager at Parador de Granada, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience with us through this platform and for your kind words about the service provided, which fill us with great satisfaction and motivation. We also appreciate the opportunity to have been part of your special moments during your visit to Granada. From the Convent of San Francisco at La Alhambra, the entire team at the Parador would be delighted to welcome you again in the near future.Until then, we will continue working towards constant improvement.Sincerely,Marian Montero – Director –

    Very bad service

Nice location. But the worst service ever. 12 Guest, 2 women in service, but we wait 30 minutes for a tea. The bill takes again 25 minutes. The ordered cake didn‘t come. Rude staff

    rating05 May 2026

We stopped at the Parador de Granada while trying to locate the Generalife night entrance at the Alhambra shortly before our timed ticket entry. We were clearly lost and worried about missing the slot. One receptionist kindly began reaching for a map to help us, but another staff member immediately stopped her and refused to provide any directions because we were not hotel guests.I understand prioritizing guests for hotel services, but refusing basic directional assistance inside a large and confusing historic complex felt unnecessarily inhospitable. It would have taken less than a minute to point us in the right direction, and that small act of courtesy would have completely changed the interaction.Very disappointing experience, especially in a setting that depends heavily on tourism and hospitality. Marian Montero Cuadrado, General Manager at Parador de Granada, responded to this review Dear Inspired_Traveler17Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are truly sorry to hear that your interaction with our team did not reflect the welcoming and courteous atmosphere we aim to provide. Our standards are centered on thoughtful, respectful service, and we understand how important a helpful approach can be, especially in a complex historic setting. Your perspective is valuable to us and reinforces the importance of warm assistance for all who visit. We appreciate you taking the time to provide this feedback and hope to have the opportunity to offer you a more positive impression in the future.Yours sincerely.Marian Montero - Manager

    Waste of an amazing location

    rating14 Apr 2026

The location is great and historical literally inside the alhambra and the building is an old palace which later became a convent that was converted into a hotel. Staff are encouraged to improve in their service and friendliness and the food is inedible. There is no space to have a drink or a coffee other than the cafeteria which is not an inviting place and the interior design/ lighting could have been much nicer and atmospheric given the importance of the building. The rooms are big but expensive compared to what it offers or what rather it does not offer (sevice, drinks, quality of food) Marian Montero Cuadrado, General Manager at Parador de Granada, responded to this review Dear Guest:Thank you for sharing your impressions of your recent stay and for recognizing our unique setting and heritage. We are grateful for your acknowledgment of the location and the character of the building. We are sorry to learn that your experience did not reflect the welcoming service and refined atmosphere that we strive to provide. Your remarks regarding service, dining, and ambience are understood, and we appreciate the perspective you have offered. Our team is dedicated to delivering gracious hospitality, thoughtful design, and a comfortable guest experience. We value your feedback as it helps us align with the standards our guests expect. We hope to have the opportunity to better serve you on a future visit and provide a more enjoyable stay.Yours sincerely.Marian Montero - Manager
