Location

The complex is located in a residential area in the countryside, 500 m from the village of Alpujarra, near Granada in the Bérchules municipality. It is situated 40 km away from the Costa Tropical, and 100 km from Granada and the Alhambra Palace. Federico García Lorca Granada-Jaén Airport is around 100 km away.

Facility

The apartment hotel has a lift and features 14 apartments. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. A safe, a transfer service, room service (for a fee), a laundry service, a conference room, a fax machine and a banquet hall are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities.     Very nice spa experience, once you get your way around the circuit it’s a perfect mix of different activities. Totally recommend the massage, which was great and very relaxing! The room was also perfect, specially for a longer stay with friends and family.Staff was amazing!

    Everything from beginning to the end of our vacation was friendly and relaxing.Easy, direct, reservation, good reception, and accommodation clean and spacious for a few days. The restaurant provided good service and food [both breakfast and evening meal].Pool cleaned every day, with good quality sun-loungers and umbrellas sensibly spaced.Overall - Everything very good, and no hesitation to recommend.     Very friendly people, We stayed in an fully equipped basic apartment. Beds were OK. Diner was typical Spanish tastfull but simpel. Breakfast was served at the table andgood. The total hotel is dated but clean. Wifi works. Elcercado, Proprietario at El Cercado Turismo Rural & Spa, responded to this review Thanks Steenhuis, we are glad that you had a good experience here at El Cercado.It's important for us to know our guest's opinion. Only let me remark that our establishment tries to maintain the traditional style of the Alpujarra and this is probably what you considered as "dated". Part of the forniture and accessories are completely new but a modern style would be totally out of place in this kind of hotel.

    Lovely stay in a spectacular setting

    We stayed here as a couple last week for 2 nights. Staff were welcoming and although not all spoke fluent english, communication was easy. Views from the terrace bar are amazing. We ate here for breakfast and one evening meal which was delicious.The only sounds to be heard are goat bells and bird song.Pool area lovely. Rooms well equipped and would be great for families.Steep walk from our accomodation to the pool and bar area.We loved it and would return.     I think we were the only people staying in the apartments and it was a bit quiet but the owner was very friendly and we enjoyed our gin and tonics (very generous!) chatting at the bar and the simple but tasty meat and veg dinners. The apartment decor is a bit dated but everything works and the bed was very comfortable.
