    Just ok

    rating30 Sept 2023

This hotel is situated in a beautiful, scenic place but we found the hotel to be lacking in comfort or good service. We were left to our own devices in the dining room and were very disappointed with our evening meal. It was poor to say the least. Our bedroom was adequate but very dark and gloomy. The pillow on the bed gave us both a very poor night sleep. The staff seemed to be very busy although the hotel didn’t seem to have many guests. The breakfast was ok and again it was self service with no one checking to see if we needed anything . Angeles Moron Castro, Marketing at Hotel Zerbinetta, responded to this review Dear Fionaon23,Firs of all, thank you so much for your reviews. We are awfully sorry if we did not provide you a good service and you could not enjoy your stay at Zerbinetta Hotel as we wanted. In spite of that, we hope could you give us the opportunity on the future and we would be glad to welcome you back very soon.Best regards.

    Quite remote

    rating11 Jun 2022

A nice hotel with good staff but it is very remote and the WiFi is very poor. The restaurant food is good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was adequate, the rooms are clean and the aircon worked well in the room. The swimming pool had no water in it, which was a shame as we had a heatwave! Angeles Moron Castro, Marketing at Hotel Zerbinetta, responded to this review Dear PT1952First of all, we want to thank you for your time and your reviews. As we are located in the mountains closed to Sierra Nevada, sometimes it is really hard to get a good WIFI.In spite of the hot wheather, at this moment, the swimming pool is planed to be open at the end of June.We are awfully sorry for the inconveniences and we hope to see you soon.Best regards.

    Peaceful and relaxing

    rating10 Sept 2019

Stayed here for 2 nights on a trip around Spain. Partner booked it so wasn't sure what it would be like. I was pleasantly surprised. It all depends on what you want in the location of your hotel but this was pretty rural (next to lots of trails and nature walks) although there is a fair bit of life in the opposite direction in the little village of Dilar. The room, a double was lovely, all dark wood and nicely fitted. Bath with shower, bidet and wc. Plenty of space. Usual amenities in the room, no beverage making facilities (which is normal for most of europe)The lounge/dining room, balconies and outside areas are well maintained, nicely decorated and comfy. The food, we had breakfast (continental) and dinner, all was excellent. The dining room operates as a restaurant also but there was plenty of room to accommodate all. Food excellent, we chose from the set menu. Home cooked hearty foods.Small swimming pool in the garden and beautiful views of the mountains.Horses kept in paddocks below hotel so sometimes a few flies trying to sneak in.Bar area is also reception as often the waiter is also multitasking as the barman and receptionist.Lovely young new member of staff was really nice and helpful, didn't find out his name but he was excellent. Angeles Moron Castro, Marketing at Hotel Zerbinetta, responded to this review Dear Tippyfudge2105,We want to thank you for your reviews and recommendations after your stay last 2019.We hope to welcome you next time you decide to come back to Hotel Zerbinetta.Best regards.

    Revisited and Rerated

    rating03 Aug 2019

When we first visited the Zerbinetta we were under the impression it was in Granada and as this was our first trip to Granada and the Zerbinetta is pretty far away, we gave up and used another hotel in central Granada. I must say on this second stay I have driven from Zerbinetta to the entrance for Alhambre in 20 minutes but now of course we know the roads better and what to avoid. So the reasons we picked Zerbinetta for this visit were that with some exceptions we had seen most of Granada, and we wanted a base from to explore Andalusia as in Ronda, Casares, Gaudix and the like. This hotel is really rural so it is quiet, has an excellent restaurant (which we had tried on the earlier visit) and once you learn the roads, not so hard to find. The E-902 is a few kilometres away. Both the hotel and restaurant services are fast and the food is good with a varied menu. We were there in the second week of April when the weather was cold and often rainy but in the summer it would be cool as it is on the edge of the Sierra Nevada mountains. There is an equestrian centre nearby so I assume you can ride horses for a fee. Hotel Z, Director de Relaciones con Clientes at Hotel Zerbinetta, responded to this review Dear Mr.jmeem42016,Thank you so much for your feedback. It's really important for us to know did you enjoy your stay at Hotel Zerbinetta.Your reviews are really helpfull. We hope to see you again.Best regards.

    A lovely hidden gem!

    rating11 May 2019

My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel Zerbinetta during May 2019 (this time of the year is off-season for this area). We found the hotel thanks to a coupon from Daydreams and we couldn't wish for a better hotel! Surrounded by nature and the Sierra Nevada, you definitely need a car to get to the hotel. The view from the room and the restaurant is beautiful, the air is fresh and the surroundings are extremely quiet. We only went for a short walk around the hotel because we were short on time and wanted to visit other cities in Andalusia, but you have plenty of choice: horseback riding, trekking, mountain bike. Our room was very big and quiet, the mattress may seem hard at first but is actually really comfortable. You have everything you may need: dressing table/desk, fridge, bath tub. Everything was exceptionally clean. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. Breakfast lacks variety: I would suggest adding a homemade cake, yogurt, soy or almond milk, cookies, eggs.Dinner was pretty good, definitely more variety. For anyone not speaking Spanish: the staff doesn't understand English so be ready to use Google translate or bring a dictionary and learn a couple of sentences regarding food (especially if you have allergies) in spanish. Hotel Z, Director General at Hotel Zerbinetta, responded to this review Esteemed Kata, we appreciate your comments. These comments help us improve.Kind regards.José Luis
