    Decent room, horrible kitchen.

    rating05 Sept 2026

We felt one day in Toledo was too short (a lot to see) and we decided to stay one more day. Improvised, at the last minute, for the return to Barcelona we decided to spend the night at the aforementioned hotel. The latest Booking reviews were quite good and the price wasn't crazy. Near Toledo at the last minute, prices were already prohibitive. I didn't spend time looking at Google or Trip reviews.I have to admit that the rooms aren't bad, air conditioning, mini fridge, comfortable bed, and a very spacious bathroom. The hotel's location on the outskirts of the city isn't very practical, but it does have that tranquility that is also appreciated. When asking the owner about the restaurant's kitchen hours, he informs me that the kitchen closes at 11:00 PM - 11:15 PM at the latest. I look at reviews online calmly and I already get the idea that the kitchen might be basic. Well, we went down at 10:35 PM and I already notice that it's almost empty and the owner already informs me that if we want to have dinner we have to order quickly. And I......you told me the kitchen closed at 11:15 PM.....He replies that no ...that he had said 10:45 PM. I don't want to come across as arrogant so we'll leave it as a misunderstanding and I tell him that we're going somewhere else. Both a waitress and the owner insist that we order something. Knowing that the kitchen was already closing up and that there is a lot of apathy, I prefer to leave. But my daughters are sick of the car, and since we are on the outskirts, they ask me to stay. I tell the waitress (very nice at all times) to apologize to the kitchen for me, that the schedule issue was a misunderstanding. That the kitchen should not serve us with the aforementioned apathy. We order a hamburger for the little one and sandwiches for the three of us, quick, grilled, and simple to avoid being a bother. The result is mediocre bacon sandwiches, an omelet so dry it's best forgotten, and my daughter's hamburger, which was raw. Being on the terrace in the dark, I took a look at it before anything else and saw that it was a bit charred on top. But after a couple of bites, my daughter insisted that it was raw. But so raw that it looked like a tartare between buns. I am attaching a photo; it won't let me add the video, which does it more justice. I understand and forgive a mistake due to a lack of attention. But to give my young daughter a raw hamburger in bad faith... I was about to lose my temper; I took the plate to the kitchen and the person cooking ran off. The girls told me that he had already left, that he was a downcast man I had passed by. So downcast that I can't even picture his face... He was lucky that we had to sleep there, otherwise I wouldn't be responsible for my actions. Give me whatever you want, but to a little girl... you have to be a bad person. I informed the owner and he tried to justify the unjustifiable, only to then agree with me. The criticism is not directed at him; the girls were charming. Anyway, a lesson for my daughters: if you arrive at a restaurant and the kitchen is about to close, look for another place. It is not worth the risk of encountering someone like that in charge of the kitchen. They did not charge for the hamburger and they treated me to coffee. Everything must be said.I had to be respectful in the writing so as not to violate the posting rules. Originally submitted in Spanish on www.tripadvisor.es. View originals.

    To rest well

    rating20 Aug 2026

It is a place to pass through, large room, good bed, but that is it, very expensive bar and not very friendly, at least the staff we dealt with, but for resting it is fine, nothing more. Originally submitted in Spanish on www.tripadvisor.es. View originals.

Old Castilian room, dirty and nasty

    rating28 Jun 2024

The hotel has 2 types of rooms. Good and bad. Me of course in the bad.You pay the same, but the shower doesn't go well, all dirty, no amenities...In the photos on the website they do not put these rooms, clearly.Antique spring mattress, bad linen, towels smelled bad....a mess.
