This attractive hotel is located at the entrance to the town of San Sebastian, on the Urumea River, around 15 minutes from the Kursaal congress centre. Shopping areas with shops, cafés, bars and restaurants are to be found in the vicinity. The beautiful beach of Playa la Concha is located around 1 km away. Links to the public transport system are only 500 m from the hotel and Hondarribia airport is around 15 km away.

Facility

3 suites, 18 single rooms and 142 double rooms are located on 11 storeys and can be reached by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions.     Booked this hotel as part of a drive tour from Scotland to northern Spain and South West of France. The trip included a stay for one night in south of England, 2 nights on a Brittany Ferry to Bilbao, 8 nights in Spain/ France and one night in San Sebastian, before returning to the UK via the Bilbao ferry. 2 weeks before we were due to start this trip my wife had a sudden onset of double vision which the doctors treatnig her asked her not to drive. It meant that our trip had to be postponed. The ferry, and all the other booked hotels agreed in the circumstances to Waive the condition of 'no refund or change' attached to their booking accept this hotel (The Eurostars Amara) which was booked through Expedia (confirmation number 64531). Expedia tried 3 times to request a change of the booking date, this hotel refused. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. I certainly would not book again in this hotel or this chain of hotels.

    Nice hotel a little bit away from the old town

    I stayed here for 3 nights to attend a conference at Kursaal. It is about 2 km from the old town and Kursaal but can be reached easily on buses. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. The breakfast was pretty good. The staff were friendly and efficient. I was satisfied with the stay.

    Hotel is wonderful - everything just right, and the Staff are most welcoming. Rooms are spotless, the breakfast excellent, and the pintxos, wine and beer in the bar all day are fantastic (and really good value). Bianca in the bar and breakfast room worked really hard and was effortlessly professional. The restaurant for an evening meal is great, and so relaxing. I would suggest asking for a high-up room for the views. Parking under the hotel is convenient but very expensive - €21 per 24 hours.     We stayed in three hotels on our tour of Northern Spain and this was by far the most impressive. A spacious clean room, a fabulous buffet breakfast with delicious coffee, and a very friendly and attentive staff.The hotel is close to a bus stop that will whizz you 4 stops into the town in the evening, although we had two lovely meals in the hotel bar.
