  Noisy, dark and sad.

  I would not stay at this hotel again. The location and photos were very misleading compared to the actual experience. There was active construction directly in front of and beside the building during our stay, making it impossible to relax on what was supposed to be a vacation.The noise level was constant day and night. Church bells ring every 30 minutes — and sometimes every 15 minutes — which made sleeping difficult. The square outside also echoes every sound: basketballs bouncing, babies crying, people talking, and construction noise all carry directly into the rooms.The rooms themselves are much darker than they appear in the photos, especially the bathroom. The bathroom also has no exhaust fan, so after showering it stays hot, sticky, and steamy for hours. The furnishings (spartan) are not even the quality of IKEA.Overall, this felt like a 2–3 star hotel at best, not what was advertised online. Very disappointing experience for the price. Fortunately, they will be finished this year and all our guests could arrive to the entrance of the hotel from many points of Spain and France.In addition, our location in the heart of San Sebastian makes it really easy to visit it and the soundproofing of the entire hotel is done taking this into account, being 2 levels above the minimum indicated by law.Lastly, it is a shame that you didn't know how to appreciate the quality of the products, as they have been built by local producers personalised room by room, being luxury products with no copies all around the world. So we felt it quite disrespectful from your side to describe them as you did.We will keep working to offer unbeatable experiences to our guests as a 4* superior boutique hotel with the best ratings of the city.

  Booked based on online reviews and the photos - I would say in-person the hotel is very modern and the rooms are spacious and recently renovated and looks way better than the photos!The front desk was very fast and helpful pre-arrival including questions on parking and helping to modify our reservation. Parking (valet) is super easy with spaces outside the hotel to unload your bags. We traveled as a family and got two rooms across from each other which was convenient.   Very central location with lovely view of the cathedral. The staff were very helpful. The room (we had a bedroom and sitting area) was very comfortable , with one of the best bathrooms we’ve experienced.   Great location; friendly staff and a great restaurant in the hotel

  We enjoyed staying at the hotel a lot. It is so convenient and you can basically walk everywhere. The staff are friendly and helpful from booking restaurants to taxi. The restaurant in the hotel is fantastic. Great breakfast especially bakery; great tasting menu and food are in high quality.   A perfect hotel in every way

  Everything was perfect about this hotel, it is a beautifully converted old building right next to the cathedral on a quiet street . Fabulous quiet bedroom with comfortable beds , bathroom with welcome underfloor heating. A great touch is free mini bar with good local beer and soft drinks , top quality spanish crisps and a kettle for tea and coffee machine. The last a rare find in spanish hotels. The staff were very charming and helpful and parked our car for us in secure parking. We didn’t try the restaurant but it looked good. Lots of lovely places to eat near by and 2 mins walk from the esplanade and beautiful bay.
