Amazing dog friendly stay en route to UK from Costa Blanca

    rating12 Nov 2025

We stayed here on drive back to uk from our property in Moraira. Hotel amazing. Clean, modern, spacious, staff friendly, safe car parking (if reserved), location great for beach and promenade (500m) and plenty local tapas bars nearby. Centre only 2km walk. Will definitely use again on trips back to UK.

    Would stay again

    rating21 Sept 2025

We ended up really enjoying our stay at this hotel, but there are some things that could’ve been better and some things I wish I’d realized before staying. The hotel is located on the other end of the bay from old town, which in our case ended up being a positive. We were glad to be away from the hustle and bustle of old town. There is another strip of restaurants, coffee shops, etc close to the hotel, and the beach is only a few blocks away. The first day we walked to/from old town, but afterwards easily figured out how easy the bus was and used that as our main transport across town. The room was large, clean and modern. I did hear some noise from someone walking above us, as others have noted. We didn’t have a good experience checking in. We arrived pretty early in the morning, and the hotel made no attempt to get us in our room early.. which is fine but they were also not very accommodating while we were waiting which left a sour taste. I checked Expedia for details on the hotel, and was disappointed that they advertised being near bike rentals (they are not), and having refillable water (fruit water for tiny cups only in the afternoon) instead of a water bottle station. I would recommend the hotel and would say again.

Lovely hotel in a nice area

    rating31 May 2025

Fantastic stay in a lovely hotel. Had a triple room with massive terrace and side sea view. Building works right opposite the terrace but not the hotels fault and it got us up and out early in the morning to take full advantage of beautiful San Sebastián. Breakfast was nice with friendly helpful staff. Room was clean and again, staff were lovely. Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. Bus stop right outside to get you into the old town in 5 mins or a 30 minute walk along the promenade.

    PERFECT SHORT BREAK HOTEL

    rating17 Apr 2025

We booked two rooms at this hotel for a birthday celebration. My husband, who was the birthday boy, and I were upgraded to a suite upon arrival. The suite was extremely comfortable and made our stay much more enjoyable, especially when the family were meeting to go out etc as we were able to use the sitting room in our suite. Beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. I would think this hotel has been recently renovated and is sparkly clean. Breakfast was varied and of good quality. My only criticism would be the presence of the increasingly common coffee machine. I dislike these and would much prefer a pot of coffee at my table. (Maybe that’s my age). All in all a good value choice. It was about a thirty minute walk into the centre, along the flat promenade which ensured we got our daily step goal met! Thank you to the staff who made our stay so lovely.

Support a socially responsible model hotel with high standards

    rating16 Apr 2025

We found that this hotel is owned by the Spanish National Organisation of the Blind, where 41% of their employees have a disability, which in itself is an excellent cause to support and stay here. We stayed for 5 days and received complimentary breakfast. It's a very generous buffet that left us full until our next meal in the afternoon.Their single beds are 1.5 times the size of UK ones, and we stayed in a triple room, which is more than generous for both of us. Their toilet is a Japanese type that washes and air-dries your behind, which I have never seen in any European country and is more ecological than the standard types. We walked everywhere - even from the train station- and loved the view from the beach every day. Some tips:You need cash for the busesCafé Pepe, located just 5 minutes from the hotel, offers some affordable and high-quality pintxos. The quality of their core items, such as squid and pork cheeks, is comparable to any restaurant standard and costs less than €5 each (see pictures). They are open from morning till late, so you can pop in anytime. It's nice to support a non-chain, family-run establishment. The decor is basic, but don't let that deceive you. Supermarkets nearby and close at 9pm so that you can stock up anytimeYou can take a shuttle from Bilbao Airport, which is a more affordable option if you're travelling with only two people. It ran once every hour, but may run more during peak times.Try the local restaurants nearby, it's so much cheaper and less busy. There is a Japanese restaurant nearby (I don't recall the name) where we got twice as much sushi as at San Martin Market.
