    Excellent budget hotel

    We loved our stay at the Monte Ulia. It is an affordable option in San Sebastian when other hotels can be prohibitively expensive. It is a little way out of the city but the walk in is very pleasant. The reception staff were so friendly and gave a lovely welcome to us and, in particular, our dog! We also really enjoyed the breakfast. Finally, we really appreciated the onsite parking - free of charge.We were so glad that we booked for two nights as we were able to really get to know this wonderful city.Thank you to everyone at the Monte Ulia for the warm welcome.

    Nice, Clean, modern and friendly staff

    Very modern hotel, perfect location although not in the centre of San Sebastian was easy to get around and everything, staff were friendly and helpful. The room was big with all the amenities, great large bed, refrigerator and nice bathroom. Free parking so you don’t need to use your car, walking distance (25/30 min) to old town and “la calle Fermín Calbetón or calle de pintxos”. Also bus stop almost in front of the hotel and you can take Bus 13 to old town (1.85 €)

    First visit to San Sabastisn . A nice city . Stayed at the Monte Eulia . A small hotel on the outskirts of the town . It is a homely hotel that is somewhat frayed at the edges . I had a single room the wardrobe was tiny ( not that I had much clothes ) The toilet was a bit of a squeeze . The breakfast was continental and the dining area could do with a bit of an up grade . The lady in charge of the breakfasts was lovely, always a wonderful smile and she was washing up by hand , you would think the hotel would ‘spring ‘ for a small dish washer . Overall I liked the place and would stay again .

    The hotel is in a great place on the main road into San Sebastian with a bus stop about 100yards from the entrance. The room was clean and tidy. Mikel on reception was fantastic. He gave us maps of the area and recommendations on what to visit and gave us some good tips on the best pintxo bars to eat in. He even printed us a timetable for the buses to Bilbao.Would definitely stay here again.

    This hotel was rough. The good — Free Parking! However, they were WAY too expensive for what you get. If you pay $110 a night, you get what one would expect for that which is a clean hotel with cracked ceiling paint and marred furniture. If you pay $444 a night (the going rate when we stayed there), it is an absolute rip off. Pay a few dollars more for a MUCH nicer hotel which is much closer to the action.
