    Room with no view. Lobby with incredible view

    The hotels views were fabulous. Dinner was exceptional. But our rooms! The 1st one had no AC and it took a very long time for someone to acknowledge the issue. They then switched our room after sometime to a handicap room with no view facing construction. A lot of construction and said they had a pool but it wasn’t open.Things like this should be mentioned in the advertising.

    Such a pity this hotel is a real disappointment in terms of all aspects, expect the views. It’s listed as a 4 star residence operated by the Mercure group but in truth it’s 2 star at best. From the moment you step foot at reception you’re made feel like staying at this hotel is an inconvenience for staff. Indeed staff are hard to find and when you do they are unhelpful.I can give you loads of examples but this is typical of our experience. I wandered down to the reception seating area at 10am and fancied a coffee. The only area serving any drinks/food in the foyer does not open until 11am. So I wandered to the dining room where breakfast service was ongoing. I asked the lady checking in breakfast guests if I could get a cup of coffee. She asked for me room number and explained because breakfast wasn’t in our rate I’d have to wait until 11am for the foyer service to open…I explained I just wanted a coffee and I’d pay but “No Sir, if you don’t have a breakfast rate I can’t get you a coffee!”

    Drinks far too expensive - if you’ve paid decent money for th hotel the the bar should be more reasonable - extortionate prices - could even get a coffee - hardly anyone on the bar - reception sometimes there and sometimes not having to wait for a while -

    Breathtaking views and fresh decorates interior. Unfortunately service does not match up to expectations. First night just ordering mocktail and hummus. Drink served with no tlc...cloudy water and got into an ambush with waiter as their rules won't allow them to serve food in the lounge area where people are drinking...just 1 meter away. Who makes such a rule. WiFi speed is terrible so good luck trying to work.

    It’s not a four-star hotel. It’s a guesthouse. I’m an Accor Platinum member. The hotel doesn’t offer any upgrades or special services through Accor. The free weekend breakfast benefit does NOT apply. Reception told me that they don’t follow Accor’s guidelines and do things their own way. I wrote several emails to the hotel manager to speak to him and tried to meet him in person during my stay, but my emails were ignored. A month later, no one has replied…The staff make no effort to provide any special service. There is no maintenance in the rooms. Damp and cracks in the walls. Dust everywhere in the room. Scratched walls. Broken tiles. Old furniture. See attached photos.The only thing worth mentioning about the hotel is the views. The rest is a disgrace.AVOID this hotel. A total disappointment!!
