Location

Located at the highest point in the town, this historical hotel stands tall on the old town's beautiful Plaza de Armas. Guests will stay in one of the stateliest towns in the Basque country, 1 km from the beach, 2 km from the French border and 20 km from San Sebastian. Biarritz is just a 30-minute drive and it is 90 minutes to Bilbao.

Facility

The hotel has 36 non-smoking rooms, which are located on 3 storeys and are reachable by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing.     The Parador is situated on high ground overlooking the Spanish/French border.There is a lift from the lower promenade level up to the hotel which is situated in an old town square.The interior and rooms are very good, but note there is not a restaurant at this hotel.     Loved staying here. There was a very slight complication which receptionist Raphael dealt with expertly and graciously. It could not have been attended to any more efficiently.I heartily recommend this lovely place and it’s excellent staff. Everybody is helpful and pleasant, making our stay very enjoyable.     We had a wonderful stay in this Parador; it is the most fantastic historic castle, beautifully renovated. The staff were excellent. There are no evening meals available but there are many very good restaurants within easy walking distance.
