    PERFECT PLACE TO STAY

    rating27 Sept 2025

What a fabulous place to stay. Can highly recommend. Pay a bit more and get the room with the balcony overlooking the Bay. It is beautiful. Breakfast is good. And it is an easy, if a little bit longer, walk to the Old Town. But who is complaining as you walk around the Bay and the water the whole wayThere is a supermarket just 100m up the road ELENA OLMO, Owner at Codina Sercotel Hotel, responded to this review Dear Darren,Thank you for sharing your delightful experience at Sercotel Codina. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay and found our location and amenities to your liking. The balcony rooms indeed offer stunning views of the Bay, and we appreciate your recommendation. It is also wonderful to know that you enjoyed our breakfast and the scenic walk to the Old Town. We hope to welcome you back soon for another memorable stay.Best regards,Sercotel Codina

    Good Location and Clean

    rating18 Sept 2025

The hotel was very nice, clean, and spacious. The location was great, very close to everything we wanted to visit. The only downside was that our room faced the street, so it was quite noisy at night and we didn’t sleep well. ELENA OLMO, Owner at Codina Sercotel Hotel, responded to this review Dear Susan,Thank you for your kind remarks regarding the cleanliness and location of our hotel. We appreciate your feedback about the noise from the street and understand how it affected your sleep. We hope to welcome you back for a more restful stay in the future.Best regards,Sercotel Codina

Perfectly located and keeps up the Sercotel feel in the magical city of San Sebastian.

We visited the hotel earlier this month in August as a couple. The first impression is that hotel is perfectly located considering all aspects - walk to the beach, catch a bus, supermarkets or a quick bite. We took the room with sea views, and we weren’t disappointed. The hotel offers all modern amnesties as expected from the branded chain. ELENA OLMO, Owner at Codina Sercotel Hotel, responded to this review Dear Abhishek Vikram Singh,Thank you for your wonderful feedback regarding your recent stay at Sercotel Codina. Nice dog friendly hotel.

    rating28 May 2025

I stayed at Sercotel Codina in San Sebastián and had a great experience overall. It’s a very nice hotel with excellent value for the price, especially considering the location and amenities. One of the highlights for me was how dog-friendly it is. I brought my dog along, and we were warmly welcomed with a dog bed and a few small amenities just for him—such a lovely touch! The hotel is in a great spot—close to the beach, but in a quieter area, which made it feel peaceful and relaxing. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. However, the parking situation is a serious downside. The hotel only has a very limited number of parking spots (about 5 or 6) at the back of the building. They’re narrow, hard to access, and cost €25 per day. If those are full—and they often are—you’ll need to find street parking. I ended up finding a public spot about three blocks away, which was €4 per day. That part was manageable, but what really needs improvement is the check-in and check-out access. There are two short-term “kiss-and-ride” spots right in front of the hotel that are meant for loading and unloading, but they were constantly occupied. I spent over 20 minutes circling the block trying to get a spot just to load my luggage and check out. It was incredibly frustrating, especially since the hotel wasn’t even at full capacity. To make matters worse, the front of the hotel is along a bus lane, which makes stopping even temporarily feel rushed and stressful. The hotel really needs to manage this area better, either by enforcing short-term use or working with the city to improve the situation. That said, despite the parking hassle, the stay itself was very pleasant. The hotel is well-maintained, the staff were great, and the dog-friendly service made a big difference. I’d stay again, but definitely wouldn’t bring a car next time
