Lying on the coast at the heart of the Basque Country, this hotel is just 100 m from the nearest beach and a pretty promenade. Zarautz's famous nightclubs and dining venues are to be found in the vicinity and a stop for the public transport network is located just 200 m away. Palacio Narros as well as Torre Luzea are located around 500 m away. Motorway access is close by and allows quick and easy access to Biarritz on the French border (approximately 55 km), to San Sebastian (about 35 km) and to Bilbao (roughly 85 km).

    We did not book this hotel ourselves it was part of a package and stayed two nights it has a central location and is close to the beach. The hotel itself is tired and in need of an update the room and bathroom were of a reasonable size but very basic with old furniture though the room was clean.The main issue was the included breakfast what there was of it ! the dinning room was very busy and once the food was gone that was it gone on the second morning we were in the dining room five minutes after it opened and it was packed with some of the items already gone when we asked the staff to replace them we were VERY abruptly told they would not be replaced in effect making the buffet first come first served, it's a shame as this hotel has a lot of potential but as it is NEVER AGAIN!.

    PlusThe hotel is well located and it close to the beach Breakfast well organised considering that there were 2 bus tours in the hotel at the timeRoom nice but I would not think that the bath is big enough for an adult MinusDinner was sadly not to our liking

    The hotel is very clean, well located, and used by tour groups at times as it us quite large. Reception was very professional and spoke good English. They recommended free street parking 5 mins walk ( Oct 1 - May 31) which was great for us staying in October. There are 2 lifts. The room was very large as we got allocated a 2 bedroom suite, but all rooms are a good size. It is traditional decor, nice polished wooden floors. The Wi-fi wasn’t great. Would say bed/ mattresses need an upgrade. Breakfast was adequate, quality could be better although it was very acceptable for price paid.

    Right on the road front this rather antiquated hotel is a bit sad. The reception very dated, the rooms equally so with solid floors that echo…..Food basic but ok. Evening menu good value given that there are NO restaurants in town, only late tapas bars.

    The hotel is on a main street one block from the sea front promenade which is obviously a prime spot. There is also a supermarket quite close by. The receptionist spoke a little English which was helpful. The building and rooms are old fashioned and a bit tired and scuffed but everything looked clean. There was a lift which is not always provided in small Spanish hotels and was much appreciated with a heavy bag. My room was a good size with a separate entry foyer that helped make it look more spacious. It had twin beds and the one that I slept in was comfortable. The bathroom was big with a shower over a tub. The room was on the side and a bit dark except for a period in the afternoon when the sun hit the window directly. The wifi was dreadful. It connected occasionally but only for a short period before dropping out again and mostly didn’t work at all. Everything was quiet until very late at night – more likely early in the morning – when there were a series of very noisy revelers returning from the promenade bars. They were outside the hotel not inside but loitered in the street singing. Not the hotel’s fault but it made for a disturbed night’s sleep. Overall, this is a well-priced and clean hotel, nothing fancy but quite acceptable for a short stay if wifi is not an important asset.
