  Great location but a bit to noisy for us!

  We have just recently stayed here for a short break. On arrival the lady on reception could have been more welcoming and helpful. The hotel itself is in a great spot on a lovely street. Great value for money and nice and clean with plenty of hot water. The aircon wasn’t working properly, we think it was controlled by a central system rather than individually. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that but overall it was ok. The downside for us was it was very noisy on an evening from street noise which went on into the late hours. This was possibly a weekend thing as it was quieter on a non weekend night. So we didn’t sleep to well during our stay. Would this put me off, yes I think so and wouldn’t stay again due to this. Also the walls aren’t soundproofed to well so you can hear noises from your neighbours. If they could fix those issues we would definitely choose it again if in the area bug otherwise no!

  Went to visit friends in the city, the location was a very tricky one to find, since the city has grown in population and renovations of the city are not the same since we last visit 7 yrs ago. If you are driving, double check your GPS when locating this hotel. The gym is very very basic, it's missing a lot of amenities like a water fountain, towels, a TV. Usually hotel gyms have these items, found this very odd.Rooms were basic as well, make sure and specify what style of bed you want (twin mattress or a double one).

  A very pleasant hotel with wonderful staff

  We only stayed one night here in order to meet our Spanish friend. The room - one of their basic ones, as all junior suites were booked, was very well appointed and had ample space. We had a full bathroom, air con and a window onto the main pedestrian area below. The receptionist, Maria, was so very kind and helpful to us. Her command of English was tip-top! If we were to stay again we would book early and opt for a junior suite; not a lot more money but worth it. Secure indoor parking cost €19 per night. The hotel car park was a little tricky to find but Maria was most supportive. Breakfast was served in the breakfast room and was very good. The one thing that interrupted our sleep was the all- night sound of people enjoying themselves in the bars - not unusual for city centre hotels!

  Depressing rooms in great location.

  The hotel looks good from outside and is very centrally located which are the main positives. The room was clean and comfortable and quiet. However the hotel is not as advertised and four stars would be most unlikely at this point in time. The room is probably one of the saddest rooms I've ever been in with old furniture, really dull decor and not one picture or image to lift the mood. If you want to be depressed this place is a good start. It's a pity as the city is lovely and the location very good but the hotel desperately needs an upgrade in the rooms. There is no bar and no restaurant so thankfully you have to leave the premises.

  Deceiving Advertising

  The temperature in the room was over 27 C the property advertises to have AC this was not the case reception told us they turn the AC off for the season. Why do you advertise AC when you do not have it. I want to have my comfort when I go to four star hotel. This is not a hotel I recommend, deceiving advertising and cheap tactics to get you in through Expedia I complained to them as well.
