  Very comfortable and pleasant hotel in a convenient location on the edge of San Antonio. Pool and gym are nice to have and rooms are very reasonable for the price. Parking can be a bit tricky.   Nice ‘boys’ family holiday away, with my brother, Son and step-Son. Lovely hotel at a good price. Just what we needed. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was nice (we had B&B only). Pool was lovely. Location of the hotel was great - only a short walk to San Antonio Bay.   A brilliant choice for a solo trip to Ibiza

  I'm going to talk a lot about my holiday in this review, and the reason is simple: this hotel was the perfect base for the kind of trip I wanted, and that's why it deserves five stars.Having been a fan of the early Café Del Mar CDs and artists like Chicane, on a whim in my late 40s I decided to finally 'do Ibiza'! I booked a solo trip and chose San Antonio as the home of Cafe Del Mar and for its approachable prices. While the area isn't really my 'scene' – more Benidorm than bohemian these days – it turned out to be the perfect base for exploring the island. There are beautiful spots to enjoy the sunsets right along with west cost and the regular buses make it so easy to get to Ibiza Town (be sure to make time to really explore the Dalt Vila by day and night and the Puig des Molins Necropolis Museum) and other great spots like Cala Comte (warning, as of 2025, the busses are still cash only!).That sunset boat trip was the highlight of San An itself, and a genuinely joyous one at that, but it was just one of many great experiences on this holiday. I also discovered Cala Escondida, a beautiful little spot right next to Cala Comte, with a fantastic independent cocktail bar operating out of a shipping container on the beach – unlike today’s Cafe Del Mar, it was the real deal!In terms of location, the Apartahotel Vibra Bay was a perfect base for all of this. Its location is the best of both worlds, set a little back from the noisier parts of San Antonia town – perfect for those who want a San Antonio-focused holiday – yet it's an easy walk to the beach and the start of the sunset strip for all the action. The bus stop is right outside, too, making it a great location for someone looking to explore further afield.In terms of the hotel itself, it's spotlessly clean and well-maintained. The room was comfortable, with a balcony, a kitchenette, and, most importantly, excellent independent air-conditioning. The room was also fine for some remote working I was doing part-time; the Wi-Fi largely held out for me, though it could be a bit patchy and I did occasionally need to hotspot onto my mobile.The breakfast-included deal was perfect for my needs; I was able to fuel up on a full English, fruit, and coffee each morning, which set me up until dinner. While the breakfast isn't gourmet – the orange juice is definitely 'squash' – it was completely fine and perfect for what I needed.As someone who regularly stays in relatively fancy hotels for work, I can say that while those places might have plusher fixtures and fittings, it's the people who truly make or break a place. On that basis, the Vibra Bay more than holds its own. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout my stay. For example, when I hired an e-bike, they had no problem letting me store it in the luggage room to keep it safe, which was a real relief.The pool is only open from 10am-6pm, but this didn't bother me at all as I was always out exploring. It's just something for a potential visitor to be aware of if they want a more 'resort' style experience.For anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, and friendly base from which to explore the island, I can't recommend this place enough.'
