Location

This apartment complex is situated in the northern part of the island, 30 km from Ibiza Town. The complex is located almost on the beach of a small bay and is surrounded by trees and nature. It is just 400 m from the centre of the village where a variety of shops and other services can be found and also the bus station which links Portinatx with Ibiza and Santa Eulària des Riu. Guests will find restaurants around 20 m away in Cala Portinatx, plus bars and pubs around 400 m away in Portinatx. The complex is some 38 km from Ibiza Airport.

Facility

62 apartments and 72 studios are available to guests in a 5-storey main building and a 3-storey auxiliary building. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The apartment hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities and 3 lifts. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park for no extra charge. Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating. In most units, guests can enjoy a view of the sea from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. A safe and a minibar are also available. There is a fully-equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator, mini fridge, microwave and tea/coffee station. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi ensure optimal comfort. Slippers are included. The bathrooms have a shower and a bathtub. Plenty of active relaxation awaits guests in the pool area's 3 outdoor pools. Even in bad weather, a swim in the indoor pool is always an option. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. A terrace with sun loungers and parasols is available. For those who wish to stay active while on holiday, the apartment hotel offers cycling/mountain biking. A number of sports are available, including water sports such as snorkelling, water aerobics and aquafit. For a fee, guests can also enjoy paddle boating, kayaking and diving. Guests can enjoy a wide range of indoor sports, including a gym, table tennis, billiards, yoga, callisthenics and aerobics.     Fantastic hotel in a great location with superb facilities. Pool bar and swimming areas were perfect for relaxing with a great feel. Staff were outstanding in all departments and went above and beyond. Beautiful sunsets.

    Ok but a few disappointments

    This is our 3rd trip to a Barcelo branded hotel this year and we were excited to visit Barcelo Portinatx after having lovely stays in Bilbao and Benidorm. Our flight was late and delayed so we arrived late to the hotel. We were welcomed in a friendly manner and they had prepared a lovely snack for us on arrival which was a lovely gesture. We didn’t get a welcome drink as who wants to drink that late at night ! It would have been nice to have been given a Roman to use the next day though. After the snack which was lovely I was looking forward to the rest of our stay as it was delicious. Stayed in Junior Suite with sea view. Lovely room, clean etc and cool. I liked the design although agree with others regarding the wardrobes. You can’t hang a dress in there as it’s not long enough. Most of our clothes had to be put on the open shelves as no drawers. Also not wnough hangers on walls etc. My main gripe and disappointment is with the food. After our welcome snack I had high expectations and having been to other Barcelo hotels myHopes were high. There was lots of fresh food and quite a lot of variety mostly and the food was replenished regularly by the hard working staff. My main annoyance was with the hot food. There was not a lot of choice of hot food. I tend to stick to meats and salads and the salads were mostly fresh. Sometimes it looked a bit dry like the bowls of pre shredded carrot looked dry and old. Lettuce a bit on the turn. The MEAT was my issue. So disappointed. The whole week only had one meal where the meat was half decent or cooked nice. Other times I had chicken thighs and drums where you’d expect the meat to fall off the bone but no. You had to hack your way through it. I just felt it wasn’t cooked properly or was cheap meat. Our last night we ended up going elsewhere for a meal as I was so fed up of being disappointed. Puddings looked nice but being lactose intolerant there was nothing for meApart from fruit. I can see they try and do a variety of foods but the meat really did disappoint. Not a chip in sight all week which is maybe a good thing. Breakfast was ok and what you’d expect. It was just a bit hit and miss whether a waiter would ask if you wanted eggs cooked fresh like an omelette. They offer it as an option but you don’t always get asked so you need to make a point of asking. All waiters were very friendly though and worked hard. Overall we had a nice time as we were here to just relax. The restaurant by the beach looked derelict like it wasn’t used anymore. Lunch at the pool bar fairly expensive and I had a Caesar salad with lettuce that had seen better days for 16€. And cubed processed chicken. We didn’t eat there again. Very over priced. We ate at a little cafe up the road which was lovely with lovely huge chicken sandwiches for half the price. Most evenings we walked into the main resort which was a lovely little walk in the evenings with a couple of bars. Overall we had a nice time but feel we paid a lot of money and parts of the hotel didn’t live up to expectations.

    We have just returned from a wonderful five night stay at this hotel .It was our first time in Ibiza and it will not be the last, this is a really quiet hotel and resort exactly what we were looking for.We had a suite with a sea-view, which was lovely. We were given an accessible room which we did not need, but it met our needs. The bed is amazingly comfortable and the sunset views from the balcony. How wonderful. The room doesn’t like some storage for clothes and there are no drawers.. for five nights this was fine if it was any longer you may struggle. The pools are always quiet and you can get lounger at any time of the day, we chose to sit in the top pool and it was very quiet. The food was okay. I found the selection quite small, but we always found something to eat. Considering the weather was so hot, it was really missing a cold desert just an offering of ice cream would’ve been perfect.I also found not having a choice of eggs in the morning a little unusual. It was never explained to us if we could order eggs, but I didn’t see anyone with an omelette or fried eggs.We would return to this hotel because all of the staff were wonderful and couldn’t be helpful enough. The location is perfect and I would like to explore more of the island.

    Great experience at this hotel would definitely come back again to see the massage girls. All other staff have been very friendly always approachable with questions we have.
