Location

This attractive apartment complex is situated directly on the magnificent sandy beach, only 1 km from the tourist area. The centre of San Juan is approximately 23 km away and may be easily reached using public transport. There is a bus stop about a five-minute walk from the complex and the airport is some 35 km away.

Facility

6 suites, 48 apartments, 48 studios, 16 single rooms and 122 double rooms are available to guests in a 3-storey main building and 2 auxiliary buildings. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The apartment hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities and a lift. There are a number of shops as well. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Other services include a car hire service, medical assistance, room service, a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry, a hotel doctor and a hotel shuttle bus. Rooms

    Our second year visiting here. Lovely spot. The breakfast included in our price was exceptional. Such a great choice. The two pools and various hang out spots were well used by guests and the spa was an added bonus. My partner loved the spa area. Staff are helpful, the rooms comfortable and clean and parking is easy if you have a rental car. The location is very central to Portinatx. There is also some live music on some evenings. A lovely spot to hang out and recharge your batteries.

    Went with my 18 yr old daughter for her first adults only break. Booked a junior suite and we had a side pool and small sea view. Arriving late dinner service was finished, although early in the season not many restaurants were open and wasnt anywhere available to quickly grab something to eat so dinner was some Lays crisps. It would be helpful if the hotel offered a little something for those arriving late. Check in was easy and asked to provide credit or debit details for charging to room. We booked bed and breakfast dinner was €29 additional per person if we wanted to use the dinner service. Lunch can be bought from the garden bar. Pools and hotel extremely clean. I wouldnt recommend the hotel for those with mobility issues as quite alot of steps to restaurant / beach if not in the main building. Had an amazing massage with Stephanie, who was polite and works hard to personalise your treatments. We saw her the day after at the pool and she came over to ask how we slept that night after our massages. Towels are available €10 and can swop with the lifeguard when he's on shift. Safe available at a daily charge and deposit. Dinner had a great selection and breakfast also great. Area is well kept and a nice walk around the beaches and bay. Please check your charges before departure, we had 2 charges that weren't our own and we questioned them 2 days before we left (i asked for a copy of what was charged to the room early) and it was looked into and removed from our bill. Hotel staff are amazing and will help and serve anyway they can. The only downside was no food available on arrival and the extra charges on our room.

    Spent a week in October here. Weather fantastic, hotel was spotless. All staff were friendly, breakfasts were amazing. Entertainment was first class. Nice and quiet , we hired a car so were able to explore plenty of beaches etc around . Would definitely come back. Couldn't fault it at all

    Our first time to Ibiza, but Portinatx proved to be a pure delight. A quieter coastal resort, with no hectic nightlife, it had the most amazing turquoise bays with clear water, wonderful views. This small north Ibiza town had plenty of nice-looking restaurants and bars, plus three supermarkets. The local Spanish visitors and residents, European tourists and kids provided an enjoyable vibe and added to the laidback atmosphere.The Grupotel Portinatx is ADULTS only resort. We had booked a garden view double, as there was no sea view rooms available. However, we were delighted to be given a junior suite for our 10 nights stay. [If you don’t ask- you don’t get!] It was a much better room than we expected. Light and airy, the spacious suite came with kitchen facilities. The reception staff welcome was both warm and friendly, something that all the staff maintained throughout our stay. The whole team, from the room-maids to the bar and restaurant staff went out of their way to make your stay memorable. They succeeded. The garden area with its pool, bar was a restful area with comfortable loungers. The pool had a lifeguard (who also exchanged guests beach towels) A good location for a quieter day. The second infinity pool was on the upper deck, overlooking the town and beach. You had a private guest only access to the sandy beach which fronts the hotel complex. At 24 euros per day the beach loungers and umbrellas were a tad pricey-but this had nothing to do with the hotel!The breakfast and dinner buffet selection was excellent. At breakfast you could choose the pool deck or the dining room. Service was first class and the range of choices commendable, as was the cooking. There was no lunchtime meal but with the wide selection of fruits, cereals cold meats and cheeses plus freshly cooked breakfast dishes. You were not left hungry. We loved the variety and choice plus the evening dining area provided a lovely view of the beach.The hotel, which is built on different levels, gives access to the beach via steps. However, the hotel does cater very well for those with mobility issues and ramps are provided giving alternative access to all its main areas. It was a surprise to read of some negative Tripadvisor reviews as our experience was only positive. One comment centred on room safe and hotel pool/beach towel charges! There were no actual charges for these just a refundable deposit (providing you didn’t lose your towels!). Of note were the hard-working room maids. Ours happened to be Olga, whose work ethic was amazing. Our room was cleaned every day to the highest standard and her colleagues always had a polite word to say. One constructive comment would be the morning tea/coffee/milk machine. There were incredibly slow and only one was located in the pool side breakfast area. You could wait a while to get your morning brew! But on the other hand, the hotel provided coffee and pastries at 7 am for the early morning departers before normal breakfast was served at 8 am.We would definitely recommend the Grupotel Beach Hotel. Located in the Portinatx, this small resort stretches along the coast and is blessed with no fewer than three lovely beaches. The hotel has all the facilities for those who don't wish to venture further. But the gorgeous surroundings are well worth exploring.

    Front start to finish, the kindness and helpfulness of all the staff was outstanding. The hotel is beautiful, room was spacious and very clean. Food and drink was cheaper than at home. A big shout out to Ana and the rest of the reception team for your professionalism at all times - even when guests were being obnoxious. A big thank you also to Sierra, Celso, Carolina and Helena behind the bar - I bet it is quiet without us. Another big thank you to Papiss for your friendliness and help. In fact a 10/10 to everybody at the hotel you are wonderful! Love Helen and Keith x
