Awful experience with large group of male guests

    rating09 May 2026

I’ll start with the positives; the hotel is well located, not too far from the airport and Ibiza town but feels like it’s in a quiet part of the island. The room we had was sufficiently large and the seaview balcony was a nice addition. The younger staff in the hotel bar were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast choice was good and constantly well refreshed. The negatives: the older hotel staff were surly and dour, barely able to raise a smile particularly at breakfast and dinner service, and this was right at the start of the season! They could quite happily walk past you without making eye contact in a restaurant that was barely half full. But by far our worst experience was the large group of males who were permitted by the hotel to behave in a misogynistic and homophobic manner throughout the duration of our stay. Having been on the receiving end of some disgusting sexual gestures and comments which we reported to hotel management, we were informed “the rich gentlemen were drunk” as if that was an excuse for their behaviour- and that they’d be spoken to the following day. The hotel then continued to serve alcohol to the drunken obnoxious men for several more hours AFTER freely admitting they were already drunk and a nuisance. We received NO follow up from management and no reassurance that a repeat of this behaviour would not occur again so spent the rest of our stay trying to avoid these German men. Our teenage girls were too afraid to walk around the hotel alone after this experience. But these men were hard to avoid and if they weren’t chanting and singing in the bar, they were jumping in the pool soaking other guests. Will we return to Ibiza? Absolutely! Will we return to Talamanca? Possibly. Will be return to Hotel Argos? Not a chance in hell. Edit: if any German women read this and know that their sons or husbands, fathers or brothers were in a group of 10 or so men aging from late 20s to 60s who stayed here recently, have a serious word with them then about their disgusting behaviour. I can happily show you some videos if you don’t believe me.

    Perfect location

    rating10 Apr 2026

Our flight arrive late into Ibiza. There were at least 30 taxis waiting. The hotel has 24 hour front desk.Extremely helpful and kind staff, especially in the restaurant.Fabulous location. Easy walk to the old town. It takes about 20 minutes. There is a taxi stand right around the corner. The taxi to the airport cost €22. There is also a car hire business immediately behind the hotel next to the small supermarket. The room we had was a corner room looking out to sea. Such a beautiful view! Thank you, Argos! The room was spacious and very comfortable. The hotel is rightly noted for its cleanliness. There is a small gym we used every day. A small indoor pool and jacuzzi is right opposite. We went half board and always found something delicious to eat. There is a buffet in the morning and the evening. We appreciated the variety. If you are vegetarian do ask the chef for vegetables without ham. They tend to put ham in as many things as possible. If you go out of the back of the hotel and walk along the beach there is a boardwalk that takes you all the way to the point. There are lots of lovely cafes and bars along the path. We took a ferry to Formentera and rented bikes one day. It really was wonderful and well worth going. There are fabulous bike trails with an incredible amount of birds to observe. Some things that would make the hotel even better would be to have better storage in the room. If they put a shelf in the bathroom and a mirror in the main bedroom this would also be helpful. We loved our stay and would not hesitate to return.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful part of Ibiza

    rating24 Oct 2025

Lovely hotel in a beautiful part of Ibiza. About half an hour walk into old town or get the old ferry across for less than 2€ each. Nice beaches all around the hotel and the marina is a real eye opener for the not so fortunate 🤩 (like us). The hotel is immaculate and cleaned thoroughly daily and the staff were all fantastic. We’re not used to smaller hotels like this but we loved it. Lots of walks, bars and restaurants very close by and the views are breathtaking. The food is a lot nicer than we’re used to in buffet style restaurants although some of the combinations of food are a bit odd but we’re in a foreign country with mainly German clientele so maybe it’s just not what we’re used to. Pretty much all the holiday makers were good people as well so the hotel seems to attract a decent people you want to be around. We came as a family of 3 and all agree it was one of our favourite family holidays and would definitely come back although we will explore Ibiza a bit more first.

Great base for a short break. Lovely hotel in a quiet area but close to everything

    rating09 Sept 2025

Great 2 night stay in this hotel which is perfectly situated close to the Town but so quiet and peaceful. We were upgraded to a spacious, sea view room which was beautiful and very clean . Breakfast was lovely, pool area and bar were great and there were sunbeds on the small beach. We made use of the indoor pool too when it rained . All staff were very helpful and we were able to use the facilities after check out until we departed at night. The city boat service is only a few minutes walk away and was a great way for getting into town quickly with lovely views from the water. This is a perfect hotel if you want to relax after a day sightseeing and there are some lovely restaurants close by.

Excellent Location, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable beds and beautiful sea view.

    rating28 Aug 2025

We found this hotel to be in an excellent location for a quiet beach holiday with a short taxi drive to the vibrant Ibiza old town and the port with all the super yachts or a short walk to the marina with more beautiful yachts. The hotel is on the beach and provides 20 sun beds with 10 parasols for hotel guests, it feels like a private beach. There is a jetty at the side of the beach where you can get a water taxi to the port, alternatively there is a taxi rank just round the corner. All around the bay is a board walk which is well lit and there are many bars serving food and drinks. There are no shops but some of the bars have bijou boutiques. For essential supplies there is a supermarket just across the road selling all the usual items and typical beach items e.g inflatables, buckets and spades, parasols etc.. we stayed on a half board basis but most guests seem to eat elsewhere as there is plenty of choice. The breakfast is typical of a 4* hotel in the Balearics, the food for dinner was a buffet, nothing special, starters, mains and desserts but the main choices were always a vegetarian option, a meat option, a fish option and something else, some quite tasty, all acceptable. The room was spacious enough, the bathroom had a bath and shower, the beds were comfortable and the balcony had a drying rack for damp swimwear. Housekeeping did an excellent job keeping it all scrupulously clean. The hotel provided clean towels for the beach every day for €20 deposit; great saving on taking your own. The whole hotel was very clean from reception to the pool area and the pool/beach area was well looked after by a charming young man who went above and beyond to help hotel guests. He was out early every morning putting the sun beds out and cleaning the beach. As an early riser I was frequently first down and he knew we smoked so would go and fetch an ashtray for me. He promised to learn English for me for next year. A lot of people are returning visitors and more than one of the staff said about seeing us next year as they obviously love their hotel and can’t imagine anyone not wanting to return. Most of the guests were Spanish with a few other nationalities. Some young families enjoyed both the beach and the pool area. There was a mix of mature couples, families and a few younger people (who we only saw leaving, all dolled up for nights out). The bar is lovely and cool during the day, although it is closed during the day you can get what you want from the pool bar and then sit in to enjoy the air conditioning. There is a terrace outside the bar where you can sit and watch the yachts and the late night swimmers. All the staff were very friendly and helpful most spoke excellent English. One of the barmen/waiters was exceptionally kind and he obviously has a vocation. I don’t want to embarrass him by naming him but he’s from Sevilla. He spoke about other guests he had met in the warmest manner, was always cheerful and remembered our names and what we liked. He made us feel special. Will we go there again,? Undoubtably.
