    Quiet place with good service

    rating24 Oct 2025

We had one week of training in Santa Eularia and thought it would be good to have some rest in the evening. And so it turned out. The hotel is cheaper than the same level in Santa which allowed for car rental and still come to the same price. With its limited number of rooms there is a much more quiet atmosphere and a much more personal service. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was good. We had a few times diner in the restaurant and also explored other restaurants since we had a car. I guess that everybody thought about it the same way because even if the food was good and service correct there restaurant felt sometimes a little deserted. Not sure that we would return to Ibiza for holidays but very sure that if we go then we would like to go to the same hotel. We thought is was good value for money and quiet atmosphere as we wanted. SArgamassa_Palace, at S'Argamassa Palace Suite Hotel, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you very much for sharing your experience. We’re delighted to hear that after a full week of training you found S’Argamassa Palace to be the quiet, restful place you were looking for in the evenings, and that you appreciated our friendly team, personal service and breakfast. We’re also pleased our location worked well for a business trip: we’re a convenient base for professionals attending trainings, conferences and events in the Santa Eulària area, with easy access to the Ibiza Congress Centre (Palacio de Congresos). If you’d like to plan your next stay around an upcoming programme, you can find information and updates on events and what’s on on our official website: www.sargamassa-palace.com.Regarding the restaurant atmosphere: as a small hotel with a limited number of suites, we naturally offer a peaceful ambience, while still maintaining the same care in both cuisine and service. We’re glad you enjoyed dining with us, and also that having a car allowed you to explore the island at your own pace.Thank you again for your kind words about the value for money and the calm environment. We’d be happy to welcome you back on your next business visit to Ibiza—and sales for the 2026 season are already open on our website, so you can secure your preferred dates in advance.Kind regards,Juan Antonio PrietoDirección

    Horrendous smell

    rating16 Oct 2025

This would have been a lovely 4 night stay were it not for the issue that we had, which put it into the category of the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had. When we checked in and unpacked we noticed an awful smell coming from the shower. Just like being right by a sewage works or open septic tank. I immediately reported it to Marina, at Reception. She suggested it would be ok once we had run the shower as the room hadn’t been used for a few days. We did as suggested. When we returned to the room after dinner, the smell was horrendous. I reported it to Reception (Toni) and he came to the room. He ran the shower, closed the door, and promised to return in a while. When he returned, he opened the door, gagged from the now much worse smell, and quickly slammed the door shut. He advised us to pack our things and we could move rooms in the morning. I said I wasn’t happy to pay for that night and wanted a refund of the one night. The following morning, with our packed cases left by the door, I asked the manager - Juan Antonio - for a change of room, said we’d be out for a few hours, and that our packed cases were by the door. I emphasised to him that we wanted a refund for the dreadful night, and that we wanted to change rooms, and that the health implications were a concern to me.On return, he said it would be better for us to remain in the same room, which was now cleaned up, with no smell. He said he had no vacant rooms. (A quick search on booking.com and also on the hotel’s own website showed available rooms for the rest of our stay.) I begged him to let us change rooms, but he said all he would do would be to give us free drinks for all of our stay.By the following afternoon the smell had returned. Marina was back on duty that evening and she kindly came to the room with us after dinner and was very concerned and empathetic. I said I didn’t think the room was fit for human habitation, and really needed to move rooms. Thanks to Marina, we moved rooms the next day, for our 4th and final night.I told the manager that free drinks were not sufficiently reflective of the problems we’d endured, and that I wanted a complaints form and a partial refund. He refused again to refund us for one night, and offered to refund half the price of one night and all drinks free, and suggested I accept his offer as the government wouldn’t be sympathetic to my complaint (or words to that effect). I accepted , signed the disclaimer he’d prepared, and didn’t submit the complaints form.We should have had a lovely 4 night stay at this hotel, and should have left to return home happy and refreshed. Instead, the entire experience was simply dreadful, traumatic, and deeply upsetting. (E.g. At one point I was in the manager’s office with his door closed whilst he was telling me I had misunderstood his offer of drinks. I found this very intimidating and inappropriate. His manner appeared to be both intransigent and condescending.)So…….the worst hotel experience ever. SArgamassa_Palace, at S'Argamassa Palace Suite Hotel, responded to this review Dear Margot,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We have already received and replied to a very similar review on another travel platform (Booking.com). While the name posted here is different, we did not host any guest under the name “Margot” this summer; however, we did respond on Booking.com to a guest named Patricia, whose account and dates match this situation very closely, so we assume this refers to the same stay.First of all, we are truly sorry that an occasional technical issue affected your comfort. That said, we would like to clarify—politely and transparently—the steps that were taken during your stay:Upon arrival, before any issue occurred, we upgraded you from a Junior Suite to a Superior Suite, as a courtesy. The issue was reported immediately and our team attended straight away. Measures were taken during the first night, and the following day the problem was resolved. Before confirming that you would remain in the same suite, you had already packed your luggage, and we completely understood your concern. After the intervention, the suite was checked and, at that moment, the problem appeared solved. As an additional gesture, despite the fact you were on half-board, we offered all drinks complimentary, which you initially accepted. You also requested a complaint form, which was provided; however, you later chose not to complete it, stating you were satisfied with the proposed solution. When you later requested another room change, we did everything possible to accommodate you. At that time, there was no availability in either your original category or the upgraded category. The only room still available for online sale, as you mention, was the highest-priced room in the hotel. Nevertheless, following your continued request, we arranged a room change for your final night as soon as it was possible.Regarding the meeting with the Director: the office door was closed purely for privacy and courtesy, allowing us to give you our full attention without interruptions. As a final goodwill gesture, we agreed to refund 50% of one night and to cover all drinks during your stay, which you accepted and signed for.At Sargamassa we work to demanding quality standards, as reflected in the consistently positive reviews from other travellers here and across multiple platforms. Our team is trained in thorough cleaning and detailed checks; however, occasional technical incidents can happen, and we regret that this occurred during your visit. What we can confirm is that the matter was addressed from the first report, with repeated interventions, alternatives offered, and compensation applied. We are also continuing our improvement programme: over the last two years we have renovated rooms and bathrooms, and only a small part remains to be completed. For the 2026 season, we will also be introducing new wellness services (massages, yoga and additional wellness experiences), along with further improvements designed to make stays even more relaxing and comfortable. We would be happy to welcome you again and offer you the calm, restorative experience that most of our guests enjoy—should you ever wish to give us another opportunity.Kind regards,Juan Antonio PrietoDirector

    Great Hotel

    rating29 Sept 2025

The Hotel is in a great location ,very quiet in a nice area. It’s close to Cala Pada beach which also has a ferry stop that goes to Ibiza Town, all very easy to do .Bus stop close by, bus into Santa Eulalia takes about 10 minutes , beautiful harbour town with lots of bars & restaurants. The hotel is spotless , apartment cleaned everyday . Breakfast area outside is a lovely place to eat, made to order eggs , omelettes , bacon . Lots of fresh fruit ,cheeses and cold meats, a very good quality breakfast . My only suggestion for improvement would be to have a better muesli . Staff are all friendly & attentive. Special mention to Mari Carmen who made our breakfast experience very nice . Pool area is lovely, tranquil ,great Bali beds and heated pool .. perfect stay . A hidden gem in Ibiza

    rating27 Sept 2025

Located in a quiet residential area but backing onto the beach, this hotel is a hidden gem. So well placed for easy access to a range of bars and restaurants whilst offering a charm and quality of its own that we would return to finish off each evening at the wonderfully stocked hotel bar. We had the most amazing stay which started off by being upgraded to a beautiful equipped suite. The hotel is immaculate with a beautiful pool area and excellent restaurant. The quality and choice of food within the breakfast buffet met all of our varied diets. However it is the wonderful staff, across all areas of the hotel, that elevates it to something extra special. Please don’t miss out on this wonderful hotel, so glad we didn’t and we will definitely be back!!
