    Comfortable & Relaxed - spent 3 nights here 7-10 January as part of our three weeks in Australia.

    Great location for the beaches, nightlife, shopping and a huge range of food options locally. Staff were, without exception, helpful, friendly and accommodating. I’d especially like to mention Caitlin who was super friendly. Nice pool area to chill in too. Our room 1196 was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable too. Shower was impressively powerful too which is always a good thing. I understand that the hotel is being taken over imminently by Marriott who plan an extensive refurbishment. There are areas of the hotel that look a little “tired” so this is needed. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable base for our brief stay. Loved the relaxed feel to the place.

    We had a good evening, location of the hotel is perfect. Near from everything, perfect to walk to the beach or the city and enjoy the sun of the Gold Coast

    In urgent need of TLC

    This place is in urgent need of a LOT OF TLC.We stayed 7 nights over Christmas. A bad mistake.The reception staff were poorly trained. The receptionist tried to charge us for breakfast, even though we had paid upfront, and we had to tell her that our package included a bottle of wine, a welcome drink and a "gift." She eventually agreed that this was included. The "gift" was a cheese platter - good OK? No! The crackers were soft, and the cheese was a little on the old side.As for facilities, the pool area is badly in need of a lot of TLC. The jacuzzi kept breaking down, and the pool floor needs painting. It also backs onto some X Treme boats for hire on the river, which pollute the pool area with huge amounts of petrol fumes, making it a very unpleasant experience.House Keeping only takes place if you ask for it (which wasn't mentioned when booking), and then they only do half the job - Make the bed OR clean the bathroom - never both at the same time. we had to repeatedly ask for milk, towels and hand lotion.The gym is very small, and the bike is broken, so there are only two pieces of cardio that work properly. In the afternoon, there are no clean towels and there is nothing to clean the equipment with.There is also no bar facility after 5:30pm.The breakfast room is OK, with a small but reasonable range of food. HOWEVER, the coffee is disgusting!!!!!As this was supposed to be a good hotel, the only good thing is the location. Everything else is very poor.Certainly won't stay here again. The VOCO is much better value, and less expensive.

    As we were in a large group we were lucky to have riverside room with spacious balcony . We had a lovely view of the river Nerang. A comfortable stay of three nights to explore Gold Coast. Very near to surfer’s paradise. Cosy room and zero sound. Fantastic sunset view

    The hotel enjoys excellent location in Surfers Paradise near Cavill Station and Center. Beach within Walking distance. Many restaurants offering various cuisinesand shopping can be reached within 5 minutes of walk. The hotel gives very good vibes has a very well lit and spacious lobby a decent size swimming pool and my room had mind blowing view . The rooms are spacious very well maintained offering good views. The restaurant offers decent breakfast with courteous staff service. The staff at reception very courteous more particularly a tall young handsome boy very enthusiastically attended to our requests and guided us very well about the attractions in Gold Coast he was always ready to help . I would strongly recommend this hotel for stay in Surfers Paradise Gold Coast.
