We only stayed one night. A very quirky and sprawling estate battling to keep up with the modern world.I lived the ambience and very dated feel. Our room whilst very traditional and recently modernised I loved. You have to forgive some features that owing to the age of the building and architecture of the time means lapses. But overall loved it.We stayed in a room which had a garage attached. This was perfect for us and a surprise as we were carrying very very expensive bikes on the back of our car.The housekeeping was sort class and not a speck of dust was found on the traditional spanish terracotta floor tiles. We didn’t sample the cuisine as we arrived late but it was busy.Great place and we will return. It was very busy In February. Rooms were warm, spacious and comfy. An open fire was lit in the lounge. I’m giving it 5 stars as I can tell the management is trying its hardest to make this work. Thank you. Bernard on reception was extremely efficient checking is in.

A pleasant ambience in the Castillian style, full of stone, tiles, wood and wrought iron with a strong hunting theme including, nowadays, on the restaurant menu. We've often stopped here for a drink, occasionally a meal and this time an overnight stay with the dog.The accomodation is accessed from the rear of the main lobby and arranged round a square of grass, trees and sculptures. A delightful room with access on the far side to an optional personal garage for your car (in addition to the open air parking round the side of the hotel). The fire escape plan in the room shows route 1 back through the main hotel and route 2 through a gate in the far corner of the plaza which on our visit was chained up and padlocked (see photo). I had a good look round and all other possible exits were also chained up, apart from one kept shut by what seemed to be a pair of strong magnets. Maybe in the event of a fire they would open? However this gate is not marked on the map and would be unlikely to be discovered in an emergency. In the event of a big fire in the main building you would have to stay in your room until the fire brigade turned up. Unless you had paid the extra ten euros per night to use the room's garage.The restaurant menu includes partridge, venison and an underwhelming rabbit and rice dish. I had the partridge which is difficult to find in Spain except when it's in escabeche. Like another reviewer, mine was missing half a leg. Not a problem for me, and I am not expert enough to tell whether the bird was farmed or shot in the wild. I enjoyed it but the potatoes and vegetables were lukewarm. I can see what other reviewers mean about chaotic and slow service but that was not generally my experience on this visit.Definitely worth a visit unless you are in a rush or don't like hunting.

No pleasant experience. Nice staff though. The room was spacious and the beds were clean. However, everything was in very poor condition. Toilet and washbasin calcified, the water in the washbasin hardly drained. Everything in the shower is mouldy. The paint on the ceiling is peeling. Although the tap does not dispense drinking water, there are no bottles of drinking water in the room, not even in the minibar (the fridge is empty). You have to buy drinking water in the bar.

This establishment is supposed to be dog-friendly yet they’re not allowed in any of the common areas nor the restaurant. Further they need to be monitored 24/7 and isn’t allowed to make any sounds.English knowledge among the personnel is non-existent and even if you try your best in spanish they’re very rude and unwelcome.The breakfast “buffet” is lacking and they only serve bread, ham and cheese.

The food was very good and the rooms were confortable. My friends and me had a good time there. The people are nice and happy. The hotel is very clean and big. The meat was crunchy. The parking is in a good place to go out and very spacious. I like It a lot!
