Located next to the Castillo de Santa Catalina, the views from the hotel are superb in all directions. A 10 minute drive takes you down into the town.Spacious suites and enormous public rooms/spaces make you feel like you are staying in a medieval castle.The main drawback was the service - Reception was good, but the Restaurant always appeared understaffed. They were friendly enough, but always rushing about.We visited before the pool area was opened for the summer and this facility would make a nice addition when operational.

Lovely stay in Parador

The hotel’s location is truly spectacular—set high on a hill above the town, it genuinely feels like staying in a real castle, which makes for a fantastic and memorable experience. The interior design is beautiful as well, and the bar area is impressively large and spacious, allowing everyone to find a comfortable spot to relax. The rooms were also generously sized and offered gorgeous views.There were just a few small details that could make the stay even better. A kettle in the room would have been a nice addition. We also found that the shower water temperature could be slightly warmer, as it felt a bit cool at times. At breakfast, the selection of fresh vegetables (such as tomatoes or cucumbers) and fruit was quite limited, so expanding this offering would improve the experience.

A place to make wonderful memories in the old castle

Jaen Parador was such a wonderful place that the inconvenient road I had to drive through to get there felt like a non-issue.My only regret was that I couldn't fully enjoy the Parador because of the short trip.

Views towards Jaen town on one side and the hills and countryside on the other. The rooms are very well presented and modern but with a historic feel. The internal facilities and decor are beautiful. Excellent, very friendly and service minded staff. Good food, nice rooms, stunning location, the only thing was that We were unable to lower the temperature, it was preset at 22 degrees, so it was a bit too warm for good sleep.
