Very quiet Hotel, room are clean and a good size!Pool is a lovely size for Children and no fighting over sun loungers, could always get one even at late afternoon time. Only CONS about this Hotel no air conditioning gets very hot through the night, did supply a fan. No evening entertainment, No activities throughout the day for the children can be quite boring especially if you have older children. Beach very rocky, so would recommend wearing some sort of beach shoes especially if you want to go swimming. A couple of restaurants very hard to understand the food and drinks menu, seem to cater more for the Spanish and Germans, So if you're looking for a very relaxing and quiet Holiday this is the place to be!Can get a bus into the main town which has a few nice shops, restaurants and even a McDonald's.

Just had a week at this hotel and we have had the best time. The hotel is spotless and so well looked after. The gardens are stunning and the animals add a lovely touch. The staff were welcoming. The food in the hotel was really nice and it was nice that it wasn't things like nuggets and chips etc. Our room was great with a brilliant shower, hot water etc. There are plenty of places to eat with walking distance if you fancy a change. The pool was great and kept clean and tidy with plenty of sun beds. The thing I would say if there is no AC in rooms, maybe a fan would be a nice touch.

Just returned from 10 fantastic days here with our 2 children. Rooms are basic but comfortable (the large sofa bed is a great idea) and kept spotless by the daily housekeeping.The pool and surrounding areas are a real gem, with ample sunbeds and tropical gardens that are full of the hotels animals (parrot, ducks/ducklings, turtles, fish and cats). Breakfast was excellent with plenty of hot and cold choices. Churros and pancakes were a big hit with the kids!We didn't eat dinner here but Los Cancajos has many restaraunt to eat in so you have lots of choice. We were really impressed with the quality and price of meals out.If you're looking to holiday here then don't hesitate...you definitely won't be disappointed!

Amazing staff in beautiful hotel

We loved staying at the hotel this summer with our family, with two kids. The swimming pool was great, very big with lots of sunbeds. It was never full which was great.The location is amazing, right by the beach with a selection of good restaurants nearby, including amazing ice creams called Taburiente. You can also take the bus to Santa Cruz at the bus stop 3 minutes walk away.The bedroom was very spacious with all the amenities except AC. Luckily they brought us a fan because nights were hot ! We loved the little terrace near the gardens with daily visits of ducks and chickens. So cute.The hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful, make sure to go around and look at all the little paths so you don't miss anything.Breakfast was great, everything available, savoury and sweet. It changed slightly every day and the quality was very good.Dinner, we enjoyed it, it changed everyday but we were bothered about the kids selection which was non existent. You could have nuggets for breakfast but never for dinner. All the meats were in sauces, or pasta with flavours that the kids didn't like. They ate chips or wedges when available with nothing. They didn't end up eating much at all. Luckily the dessert selection was great and the kids made the most of that.We had a great time, staff was very friendly, especially reception team. We also rented a car from the hotel which was a great price and so easy to organise.

Fabulous hotel and beautiful island

Fabulous hotel. Grounds and location are beautiful. Pool huge and lots of sun beds. No silly sun bed wars! Children loved the hotel pets - parrot, doves, budgies, turtles, ducklings and cats. We did half board and both breakfast and dinner were lovely with plenty of choice. Be aware that the hotel doesn’t cater specifically for children so it would depend on how willing your children are to try new things etc. our children were fine with what was on offer and especially enjoyed breakfast. There are restaurants in easy walking distance of the hotel and regular buses to Santa Cruz. Rooms are lovely and cleaning service excellent too. Staff were excellent and the hotel responded to feedback on satisfaction surveys whilst we were there for example providing a fan for the room. We will definitely return to this hotel. La Palma is a beautiful island and well worth hiring a car to explore. When we did eat out, prices were very reasonable.
