Great hotel with top customer service!

    rating15 May 2026

Overall, the hotel was excellent - top location in the center of town walking distance everywhere, friendly and professional front desk staff, and great modern rooms. However what put the hotel over the top for me for a true 5 star review was the reaction and resolution of the hotel manager to an issue I had. I had a few clothing items laundered by the hotel, and unfortunately one of the items came back damaged, rendering it unwearable. I assumed this wasn't the hotel's fault, as they probably have an outside company do the laundry services for their guests. When I contacted the hotel manager via email, I told him about the the issue, and I also explained to him that it was an expensive piece of clothing. Without asking too many questions, he offered to refund me the cost of the shirt. I really wish more hotels around the world had that level of customer service. Well done!

    Beautiful, central hotel

    rating23 Sept 2025

Beautiful hotel in a historic looking building right in one of the central squares of old town. It doesn’t get more central than this for walking everywhere. We inadvertently were in Logroño right in the middle of the Rioja wine festival (San Mateo) though, so it also meant hearing partying and music until 3am — but not their fault! They did send us parking instructions that didn’t work because of road closures though, so we paid to park quite a bit further away on one of the bigger streets surrounding old town. That aside, the property is beautiful and the rooms are extremely comfortable and well-outfitted. Comfortable beds, nice showers, etc. The 3rd-floor terrace overlooking the main square is nice too — a great place for a bar. But the bartender there was extremely rude, insisting to leave the awning out for “other guests” because of “the rain” (on a clear, sunny afternoon with 2 other people there) — when I just wanted to take some photos of the beautiful scenery. It opens and retracts with the push of a button in 5 seconds by the way. So I’d love to share a pretty photo from there, but alas…

Not 5 star. Basic for the price and centrally located

    rating18 May 2025

More of a four than a five star, this has small rooms and tiny bathrooms, with perfunctory self-service breakfast. Staff don't seem very evident. Centrally located. We did not spend long in the hotel as we arrived late afternoon and were out for dinner, so it's fine on that basis.

    It was poor really

    rating15 Nov 2024

The first thing to mention is the access!!! Although, after booking and reserving parking, you receive directions and the limitations of the parking access, this is not apparent at the time of booking. Plainly, no one would question whether the access was dreadful, they would assume it was acceptable, it isn't! It is also unsafe. The car access is via a lift which allows for about 2 inches on each side of the wing mirrors (a 3 series bmw). The controls on the right hand side are available through the window if you are driving a right hand drive car. Sadly, this is not the case on exit. They are now on the left and there is no way of accessing them. Once you have entered the lift, the doors close and the lights go off. There is no spare space to the front or the rear so it is impossible to move the car in any direction. I had to climb over the door and use the buttons on the left and then repeat the process to get back into the car. It would make no difference if you were driving a left hand drive car as the issue would be the same on 1st entry! It is utterly unsafe and no emergency button is available on both sides either. To the hotel now...I had a duplex room which was well furnished and was very spacious. However, the aircon did not work and the heat on the mezzanine where the bed is situated, is utterly unbearable. I would not advise sleeping here without first testing the aircon. The restaurant had no bookings other than my own, so it was a lonely evening! It was a Monday and there was little else open in Logrono old town after 9pm. The food was good and the waitress was really lovely, so that certainly helped. Finally, when i left i found the chap on reception totally without interest, he was bordering on rude. He didn't ask about my stay, offered no information on a local shop I needed (found it myself) simply shrugging his shoulders. Not one apology, to be fair, absolutely nothing at all. He should go! The date was Tuesday 5th November if management are at all interested. I guess there are others needing a job.
