Stayed two nights in a Junior Suite room. Location is great and the building is amazing - so much history!Our room was lovely, spacious with high ceilings and traditional furniture. Yes, one or two areas looked a bit worn but, for us, it added to the charm.Everywhere was clean, staff were friendly and breakfast was good.Great value for a unique hotel

We had a very good meal in the restaurant but the overall experience was a bit disappointing. The rooms are not well equipped (no kettle or coffee maker, no dressing gowns...) and need a bit of a makeover.

We stayed here for 2 nights in July and it was great! The building is stunning and has a lot of history if you are interested. The rooms are a little dated but still spotless and spacious. The hotel staff were very kind and spoke brilliant English. We had breakfast both mornings and it was good! A wide selection of meats, cheeses, pastries and beverages; we had someone with a gluten allergy and someone else with a nut allergy staying with us, and the staff were very helpful and made sure there were options for both of them. The hotel is in a perfect location, a 2 minute walk into the centre of Haro which is amazing!I would recommend this hotel!

A Hotel We'd Happily Return To!

We chose this hotel for a three-night stay after seeing photos of its beautiful covered inner courtyard, and it was even more impressive in person. It quickly became our favourite place to relax after spending the day exploring the Rioja region. The hotel is in a great location, with plenty of parking right in front. Some spaces are free, while others require a small fee, but the price is very reasonable.Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well equipped, and the bathroom was equally generous in size. Breakfast offered a good variety of fresh options—just what we needed to start each day.The service was excellent throughout our stay. Everyone, from the reception staff to the restaurant team, was friendly, welcoming, and professional. Considering everything the hotel offers, we felt it provided very good value for money.We had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rioja.

Great location, clean but quite an old hotel. It has a lovely atrium but the hotel needs a little TLC, rooms are adequate but lack an overview. e.g. the bathroom door didn't shut, the door stopper is placed where you step out of the shower there is only a bin in the bathroom and lacks power sockets. However the star of the hotel was Tanya on reception, she was so helpful it made all the old fashioned touches fade away. She helped to organise wine tours, gave great lunch and dinner recommendations and was always cheery. She is the gem of the hotel, I hope she is appreciated.
