Ruta de los Dinosaurios and Parque Tematico Arguedas are both a 30-minute drive away. Bardenas Reales is some 45 minutes away by car, while Bodesa (Bodega de Sarria winery) is just 20 minutes away.

Having read bad reviews, we were not expecting good things. How wrong we were, the Reception staff could not have been any more helpful providing maps and english version copies of events happening during our stay. Our room was large and very comfortable with a huge bathroom and tea and coffee facilities in the room. Evening meal and breakfast were of a good quality and the staff very helpful. Contrary to other reviews at breakfast there was an assortment of fruit juices, yoghurt and cereals plus cold meat and cheeses and pastries. You could order fried, eggs, bacon, omelette and churros fresh. Parking was not an issue and there were spaces available until early evening. Would definitely recommend staying here. Not the nicest of Paradors

This Parador doesn't look like or feel like a Parador. More like a chain hotel.Rooms are quite dark with small windows. Calahorra is quite a depressing town to walk around. Breakfast cereals were very limited. Kelloggs Cocopops, Frosties or Bran. No cornflakes, Special K, Country Store, Oats or Weetabix. Very poor compared to other Paradors that we have stayed in. Dinner was good with lovely service from the waitresses particularly Ramina who was an absolute delight. Reception staff were very good too. Car parking is limited on a first come first served basis. If it is full you have to find alternative parking that isn't free of charge close by but free if you go further out. Was in the area working and decided to stay at the parador. I have seen better ones but the rooms are big and warm the breakfast is good and the girl on reception went out of her way to be helpful. This is a charming hotel. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The restaurant, for dinner, had an excellent choice on the menu. Breakfast was substantial and good. The staff were all excellent.
