  I'll keep this balanced: Firstly, the rooms are in great need of refurbishment and I know that is sporadically happening.Although very clean, the paintwork, tiling, and kitchen hotplate are really bad - see the photos. You would need guesswork to use the hob because the indicator markings are missing on all 3 knobs - there's no way of telling what knob does what function - potentially dangerous. The paint from the bathroom ceiling is flaking and falling into the bath.The walls between apartments very this and so noise from next door is very apparent.The staff are great and very helpful The location suited me because it was a reasonably short walk to the main strip and the beach. This would not suit those with mobility issues because the hill is very steep.The pool is really good but the "reserving" of sunbeds with towels at 7:30am is the same here as at most hotels here and on the Spanish mainland. Personall, I abhore this and I think it should be banned.The safe is also a chargeable benefit.There is a laundry.The is a quite large supermarket 300m from the apartments.The bed was comfortable and the bedding perfecty adequate but the pillow was pretty uncomfortable. There is no A/C but fans are available to rent.You have a TV but - for me at least, it was useless. The remote (10Euro deposit) frequently didn't work. The big problem for me was the WiFi - that which is provided by the hotel frequently dropped out - here I'm talking about every few minutes. This made using the TV with its Netflix App was impossible. I actually was far more successful by logging on to the Hotel 200m away with a Firestick - they have unsecured WiFi.Not all rooms are equal here - you could end up in a lower floor room with zero sunlight. Probably best to check this before comitting to a booking. I wouldn't go again.

  A nice budget holiday courtesy of Jet 2Whilst the property is a little dated it’s kept clean and tidy and in fairness well equipped.We were fortunate to have two balconiesOne quiet and away from the noisy pool and one tucked out the back of the appt with a sea view .Peace and quiet whilst sipping a drink .Would come again

  Very disappointed in apartment

  Location was up quite steep hill. Bedroom was in need of good clean, in saying that, beds were clean, socket part fell out when trying to put plug in. Kitchen area left lot to be desired, one power point, mixed cutlery and dishes. Fridge didn't have bar to hold bottles had to remove shelves in order to store water etc, fridge itself was covered in rust at base.. Bathroom, lets say we had to complain as it hadn't been cleaned as you can see from pictures. Back area of apartment had one rusty chair and two discoloured loungers. There was no hairdryer or coffee pot which is normal for apartments. The only good point was the area around pool was immaculate, the maid (who was very good) did come in daily and change towels (again badly in need of upgrade) bad point the sunbeds were plenty but not enough space around pool for them and all sunbeds had towel on them by 8am.   It's the swimming pool, stupid !

  To paraphrase Clinton's 1992 election slogan : "It's the swimming pool, stupid".If you are a serious swimmer or Tri athlete on holiday with your family but want to train on holiday THIS is the accommodation for you. The Plaza Azul has the best pool - for training / lane swimming - of any hotel or apartments we have ever stayed at. Most holiday hotels have odd shaped pools, with no lines on the bottom to follow, and often curved corners between the pool floor and the wall so you cannot even see to spot your turn. The worst have steps along the entire end so there is literally no way you can turn at all. It gets worse with people doing widths etc so you feel under pressure to be straight in when the pool opens when it’s (hopefully) emptier…. Terrible. But not, thankfully, the Plaza Azul's pool. It's a real pool with an oblong shape, 20m long with lane lines on the bottom for the end two "lanes", and right angle corners between the pool floor and end wall. They appear to let you swim any time you want. Contrary to some of the reports it was not salt water when we were there. The pool is not perfect, it has no backstroke flags and unlike many of the online pics of it the management do NOT usually put the two lane ropes in which can occasionally be problematic with people playing on the "lanes side", maybe the management might put out the ropes of this was too much a problem and a complaint was made ? But basically : LOVED IT.The apartments are nice and spacious and it's not that far from the beach (which had loads of fish by the rocks when we were there) and supermarkets and restaurants.Negatives ? The rooms are not that well equipped (e.g. the usual two hot plates plus microwave and no oven, plus there's no washing up stuff provided and the absolute minimum of cutlery / plates etc) and it could do with a bit more maintenance, but who cares ? For a swimmer that pool makes up for all of it.

  Our 5th time here location is good though if mobility is problem the apartments are up a hill.the pool is massive plenty of sunbeds food is great staff are friendly and attentive always with a smile. All ready booked for March 2027 for a 6th time, is vfm John PortGlasgow
