  We've gone to the El Dorado for years and it continues to be our go-to accommodation for Puerto del Carmen. The location is ideal with close proximity to the beach, activities, restaurants, shopping and groceries. The property is excellently maintained and the team there keep it very clean. It's quiet and relaxing and the staff are very helpful. Some of the rooms are getting a little dated, but the comfort is still excellent and I'd recommend the El Dorado as an accommodation of choice in Lanzarote for that reason.   Another enjoyable stay

  Location we like as right across from biosphere shopping centre and close to the old town but that’s a location suitable for us. Handy as has 2 x pool areas, 1 has the kids pool and cafe etc so good for families and other has quieter area so better for adults as peaceful enough considering location. Very handy back gate as pop out and your right across from shopping centre which also has the bus stop and taxi rank so very easy to get around should you wish to explore. They had trimmed down the trees when we there there so great sea views once trimmed. Rooms are good, spacious and very comfy beds. Could do with maybe extra sheets as an option in the colder months, they maybe do give them out if you ask but just something to think about. Kitchen has toaster, microwave, kettle and usual utilities (only downside is no ice cube trays in freezer but can take ice bags instead) Has tv but never used. Price is reasonable compared to other locations throughout the island as have stayed numerous places throughout the years. Apartment was clean and the only down side was we arrived Sunday night so no cleaner Monday (which I agree with) then cleaner came Tuesday but never took towels away as we hung them to dry, no cleaning Wednesday as day off and we left Thursday. (We only had a short break) so cleaner should be told to just take towels away every couple of days as if you leave them and they don’t turn up then you don’t have a towel.Noise levels are fine as although across from shopping centre you would hardly know, did hear some delivery trucks in morning but that’s to be expected.We have stayed a couple of times and I would not hesitate to return which is a compliment considering we have stayed in +/-50 different places over the years including some private rentals.
