  Arrived here 13th May left 20th May. Took 35mins for coach transfer really good. Dropped off at front gate and place looked great. Reception is closed at moment refurbishment but office is next to it . Reception guy was all pleasant and polite when checking in but he turned crabbit when you requested or reported something . Got key and room 49 away at the back not the room we requested and to be honest the place must have been about half full if that. All looks nice till you get to your room, my photos will tell you why . Apart from faults the walls are paper thin you hear everything especially if your bedroom is in middle joined to next door. This place is meant to be 3 star I would give it 1 star for only for location. Cleaning is diabolical. We had to remind cleaning lady about towels bed linen and to take toilet bin away and replace. Daniel the barman done nice good priced food apparently the kitchen wasnt open so snacks only and poolside bar was closed. He was nice but english not very good but our Spanish is none. You get sun loungers on front porch which is a blessings. hairdryer is useless you need to hire one from reception. And the return to airport transfer to 90 minutes awful. Would I return no. I would go somewhere else in playa blanca as its nice but all inclusive for us.

  This place is nice on the outside, and very close to the beach and restaurants. but the bungalows themselves are very run down, and desperately require renovation. The main issue we had was how dirty it was, and the strong smell of sewage coming from the bathroom.

  Location is great a few steps from the beach. Lovely atmosphere around the complex. Staff are really friendly. The bar man, Daniel is brilliant. he's so welcoming and always has a smile on his face. He was great fun. He definitely made the holiday rememberable! Rooms are dated and the bathrooms could do with an upgrade but the price is cheap for the accommodation/ location. The bungalow are cleaned most days, bed sheets changed every day with fresh towels. Its peaceful at night. Restaurant and bars are within walking distance. Overall its a nice place, the complex area is nice with flowers and trees, however there was a few bugs inside!

  IT'S GREAT!

  I have been holidaying on Lanzarote for over 30 years, stayed at 5 star all inclusive hotels, self catering bungalows and villas. This holiday at Playa Limones was a first, having always driven past and wondered what it would be like to actually stay I booked a fantastic deal with Loveholidays! My Son and Grandchildren came too, Grace 17, Elliot 12 loved it. My son even bought a new set of table tennis bats/balls as a gift, so everyone could play Ping Pong. It was a total bargain at £225 each which included the flights and a pool view bungalow (it wasn't a last minute booking either). The location is fabulous; buses on the doorstep, Playa Flamingo beach is steps away, Dorada beach an easy walk, Playa Blanca with all the shops, car hire, cycle hire and restaurants you could wish for easily reachable. Danny (at the pool bar) was generous, kind and works really hard to provide a quality service and snacks, always smiling and happy to help. Great coffee!!!! The receptionist was helpful at all times, considerate, patient and informative and happy to call a taxi for our early morning flight home. The pools are a bit chilly, but the weather was too and it's early in the Season so haven't had the chance to warm up fully. They are cleaned every morning, there are plenty of loungers (no towel reservers) and the bonus of a lifeguard gives an additional sense of relaxation, parents of young children are able to relax a bit more knowing someone is watching over the pool area. Remember I paid £225 per person, it's so do-able for a quick holiday in the sunshine!! Playa Limones is scheduled to and is already getting updated in some areas as I type. There are areas for improvement I don't deny that at all, but its a great spot and we will definitely return! The shower was lovely, plenty of hot water and nicely fitted, great hob, microwave and fridge freezer; there were 4 of us in 1 bungalow, bit tight but we managed and it was our choice to squash into one and not have 2 bungalows. Next time we will book 2 and I know the Receptionist will do her best to get bungalows close to one another. I am shocked at what I have read on here, this is a small independent place to stay, plenty of space, central, good connecting transport, level walk to Playa Blanca, great restaurants within steps, cracking beach, it has the most amazing gardens, the staff are committed to their roles, and it's affordable. The cost of the holiday allows you to self cater (4 supermarkets within 100 yards), or eat out at the many quality restaurants! Don't expect a 5 star all singing all dancing resort for £225, but remember a smile and consideration goes along way! I will add that everyone working at Limones are friendly and accommodating, cleaners, gardeners, pool attendants, maintenance staff, and front of house, no-one was rude, nor unhelpful. It's quiet too, peaceful and the bungalows have fab patios with tables, chairs and loungers; most are sunny. Go with an open mind, be kind and appreciate the simplicity of this lovely little site. We had a lovely holiday, thank you to everyone at Playa Limones.
