    Cutthroat. Zero empathy.

    rating31 Dec 2025

I will start by saying I made a mistake with the date of the booking and it is totally my fault - I realised my error when I was at the airport and my check in instructions were not arriving. I booked for 31.01 not 31.12. Yet, here I am, already in Lanzarote, on New Years Eve (solo traveller) with a perspective of no hotel for the night - everything on all platforms is all booked up unless you’re willing to spend £600 for one night which I don’t have.Reservation I got was non refundable, I get how last minute cancellations can hurt small businesses and I absolutely stand by rules that protect such businesses. However, I made an honest, genuine error and considering I now need to book something very expensive very last minute to not be left on the street for the night - I contacted the hotel asking to waive the charge for this reservation. They have a month to fill this one night slot which they easily would do. Without a moment hesitation they refuse. I find it so mean considering the circumstances. It is a very stressful situation for me yet they did nothing. I absolutely get I made a mistake here, but honestly does it hurt to be human and help someone out? I know how cancellations can hurt small businesses but on this occasion you guys had a month to fill it again. This is really not ok. Thank you for making an already stressful situation much worse and showing absolutely zero empathy. I hope karma goes back to you

    rating09 Jan 2025

A lovely apartment that backs on to EL Charcoal. A 2 minute walk to the nearby bars and seafront. Check in process easy. 1 bed apartment with small kitchen with all the necessary equipment to my take a small meal Bedroom very comfortable as was the living room. Bathroom in flat but extra large bath on the terrace upstairs- took an age to fill with couple of inches of water so gave up eventually but shower downstairs. Access to shared terrace with hot tub ( water a little cold at 24- which I think is preset couldn’t change but may have been me) Day of checkout struggling with taxi and host happily ordered for me Apartment was beautiful could not fault it would happily stay again if in the area

Nice place for couple nights only

    rating10 Sept 2024

Site says 24 hr reception – there is no physical reception, it’s ‘phone or email contact. NB, you need a code to get a key. We arrived at ~8pm, no one there, no code. Had to call Easyjet who eventually advised we had to email pictures of our passports before the ‘reception’ would tell us the code. To be fair, Easyjet Customer Service were great but if we’d known the process for getting the code, we could have done it on the way from the airport. Instead, we had an anxious hour, hanging about in a bit of a rundown side street, getting darker by the minute, with no idea when/how we would get in a room. When we were given code by Easyjet, it wouldn’t work, had to get another one and that got us into (wrong) room. Half an hour later, whilst in a restaurant, we got an email saying we had been told the wrong room and we had to move. Luckily, we were only 2 mins round the corner. We were in the Premier suite so room review is mainly on that. However, we were initially put in the Deluxe so have sighted both. Both absolutely beautiful, spotless, modern, serviced daily – can’t fault that, so any criticisms may seem pernickety. My opinion, don’t splash for the Premier suite, not worth the extra unless you’re desperate for your own jacuzzi. It’s not a private solarium, more a rooftop jacuzzi; no seating so unsuitable for sitting in the sun. The main solarium only had 4 beds so if all suites full, not enough for everyone. The pic on their site makes it look massive, it’s not. The deluxe suite was a ‘wow’ when we walked in door; the premier was then a bit of a let-down as it’s much smaller. The staircase up to the ‘solarium’ is so steep and narrow you have to come down it sideways and one step at a time. Don’t attempt after a drink or with less than bone dry feet.No actual windows, roof ones only. Lovely but might not suit everyone. A few floor tiles loose and cracked so just take care when stepping on them. The mirror/shelf in the bathroom looks good but isn’t very practical - it’s round, so very limited space to actually put toiletries on. The Safe wasn’t working, it was as if there were no batteries in it. We emailed on first morning to be told there was a key – there wasn’t. Then that a member of staff would come round, they didn’t.Summary: lovely place, quiet, and in an ok location for bars/restaurants (if you walk round the corner) but I wouldn’t go back.

A little list I made going along

    rating25 Jul 2019

Hi all, I want you to know from the off I think this is a great place and I've had unreal service. My extended review is either to help you or help the property with a snag list etc.Ill list as I'm writing this whilst I'm here so will add too. Not in any useful order. We stayed in number 54, myself and my son, 4.1) this is a romantic place, there was fake rose petals under the sofa and the hot tub turns off at 7pm. Im not suggesting anything.2) its a beautiful place, for the money you can get this for online the square footage is unparalleled. I've spent more in turkey in a tiny room.3) its made for 2 people, yet one bottle of greeting water....4) the fridge doesnt have a freezer bit, it would he great if did, ice and or ice.lollies (4 year old)5) it would be good if the place had a welcome pack like, wifi code, hot tub, local shop, taxi place etc. I.mean its fairly easily detected. But a late arrival and a tiny sign near door isnt enough, sometimes....There is no reception or anything but as said emails and calls are pretty quick, you collect your keys in a lock box outside the apartment.6) the solarium door locks itself behind you, the tiny sign says this, luckily the lack of air con meant window open I posted my 4 year old in.7) The air con didnt work, we arrived on Monday 9pm. Tuesday reported by email, help arrived in 15 mins, did the usual, not being thick check. Said it would be fixed that day. It wasnt but the fan part was. Needed regassing. Fixed Wednesday. Really really good looking after. Its not a massive air con unit and theyll turn it off on you.......but it makes a difference at night. The first 2 nights we both woke several times sweating buckets.Best way is to shut the kitchen window and door on super hot days as solarium and cooker chimney are letting hot air in.8) washer works! Airer in Lanzarote will dry your towels in an hour.9) solarium is shared.10) steal a couple of sachets of salt and pepper from airport as the place doesnt supply, no biggy, just advice.11) do NOT prepay for a taxi from airport, quoted 30-40 euros like me?, local taxi os 10-15 euros. Note they only pick up in their own areas. Imagine you stay in Manchester and want to.go to liverpool, theyll take you but will not pick you up. Liverpool will have to. 12) stuff is pretty cheap, I brought some asda tablets in hand luggage. Its not liquid....and probably cheaper but genuinely a cheaper box is about 2-3 euros.13) always pay attractions in Euro on card, they'll ask and its dearer....14) at 54 walk straight up the street about 4-500m in front of you until the end and look right, there's a local shop there selling slices of cheese, ham, crisps, water, beer.My first shopping list would be;Washing liquid and fab softeners; €2.80Matches or lighter/candles. €3Water.Cleaning spray.15) if you're susceptible to light in rooms, bring a blindfold as there are light domes which are great during day....16) they can add a childs bed but its open plan. If I wasnt single theyd be as much action happening.17) theres an iron, a proper iron and a hairdryer....you don't need your travels.18) smart tv doesnt have pay per view that I could see but as any smart tv it has Netflix and prime. May be worth a free month. Most people will be out but by later evening I was in with the nipper.19) It doesnt have an oven, I wasted money on pizza. I asked and they said its the microwave its same device, so I thought one of the new systems that can be table top and microwave. Its not its just a microwave.20) bring an adaptor if you have laptop etc the room has two usb charging point near bed for phones.21) A cooker hood light wouldnt go amiss even just a push light. 22) 2 frying pans, no spatula or prongs (for accommodation provider).23) the cleaning is hit and miss, see pics but later learned theres no cleaning service included in accommodation.24) I reported a weird smell in the kitchen around half way through stay and once again the customer service was impeccable..guy was at the door within the hour. They unfortunately couldn't smell anything. I still can and its very off.putting for a kitchen. My son can smell but he may just be agreeing.
