    Great hotel to stay

    rating24 May 2026

Lovely hotel. Great large rooms and patio areas with great sunbeds. Good was very good. Always lots of sunbeds. Staff exceptional. Nothing too much trouble. The speciality restaurants are not speciality. The only real issue we had. But they couldn't apologise enough. Lovely area. Taxi to town centre is less than 4 euros. So used them as I have mobility issues. There is a gentle short walk to the shops and sea front. Lovely walk to the rubicon. Was nice stopping at the bars for refreshments. The india restaurant and asiatico Chinese restaurant was stunning. They are a few bars apart. The hotel was immaculately clean, especially the toilet areas. Entertainment in adult lounge could do with a bit more life. People wanted to dance. But you wont be disappointed if u visit here.

    Great holiday

    rating23 May 2026

Currently here but go back tomorrow. We were very worried after reading so many negative reviews but can honestly say we're having a great time. So here goes.We arrived around 9pm. The reception staff put our bracelets on and said to check in properly after we'd eaten. We then checked in, lovely staff who gave us plenty of info and told us where our room was. I asked about cases and she said they were already there which was great as trying to find the apartment in the dark with a tired 6 yr old wouldve been a nightmare! Got to the room and sure enough cases there. Room is good. Shower great, beds comfy. We had upgraded to a comfort suite only because it was about a tenner more at the time, which included slippers, bathrobe, daily water and nespresso machine. None of which was there. Made me think we'd been given wrong room. So next day i went to reception who were very helpful and apologetic and ordered the 'comfort service' to our room. So im guessing theres no difference in the room but you just get the extras. Not enough pillows either so more were sent. Mention of pillow menu in the blurb but no menu 🤷‍♀️ rooms cleaned daily and towels changed when we left them on floor of shower. Outside terrace area with sunbeds which is useful of an evening or when grandaughter wanted a nap on afternoon as we could still lay out in the sun.Not a 4 star hotel, a good 3 star. Up until now we haven't experienced issues in the restaurant but today (24th) breakfast was manic. But it is now half term! Food for us is fine. We always find something to eat. Not the best quality but perfectly edible and lots of choice. Not laid out in a logical way in my opinion. My daughter and grandaughter loved the puddings! Waited service for drinks at lunch & dinner which I can imagine when busy is a nightmare! I prefer self serve for drinks. And yes tables not cleared and repaid very quickly but we never had an issue. My grandaughter loves the pools. We'd read the reviews about the coldness so came prepared with a shortie wetsuit. Perfect and kept the cold out. 1 pool she said was warmer. Kids splash area is good. The 2 slides are OK. Nanny was made to go down them and I shot down but she said 1 is slower. Plenty of sunbeds which is a bonus!Snack bar is OK. My grandaughter had the odd thing and sweets and ice creams which come in pots with spoons.Pool bar opens around 10.30am. Queues at times but kind of expect that from all inc family hotel. Ready made cocktails were horrid. Sangria and white wine palatable, soft drinks fine so no complaints there. The free shuttle bus to the beach is great but watch on way back. We went for the 3.30 one and it left ar 3.20 so get back in plenty of time in the morning it goes at 9.30, 10.30 and 11.30 coming back is 3.30 4.30 and 5.30.The walk into playa blanca is not too far. Out the hotel turn right then right again through a pedestrian area with tennis courts and stuff. Brings you to top of the strip of shops. Down steps then the front with restaurants and bars. Took us about 10 mins. Much shorter than others had said.Would we come back? Possibly. Ticked a lot of boxes for us and my grandaughter loved it but would deffo avoid school hols especially if you don't have kids! We’ve just come back from this hotel in Lanzarote and I can honestly say it was by far the worst hotel experience we’ve ever had. I never normally leave reviews, but I genuinely hope this helps someone avoid making the same mistake we did.The food was shocking. The buffet area was chaotic and unhygienic — spillages left everywhere, including jelly still on the floor from the night before into the next morning. There were constantly no cereal bowls available, dirty glasses being reused, and tables were “cleaned” so quickly there was clearly no proper attention to hygiene. We paid for all inclusive, yet apparently bottled water wasn’t included in the mornings, only at lunch and dinner? Instead you’re expected to use the machines. For the amount you pay, you’d at least expect access to water throughout the day without being made to feel awkward for asking. The snack bar was basically leftovers from the buffet recycled into “snacks,” which felt lazy and poorly managed. Ice creams were advertised as unlimited, yet one day they ran out by around 2pm and staff simply said “that’s it” with no restock.Cockroaches in the bathrooms. The lift broke during our stay, which is a nightmare when you’ve got suitcases and a pushchair. One day the water was completely turned off without warning — no notice, no communication, nothing. We literally went to brush our teeth and had no water. The bar service was painfully slow every single night. You don’t think it’ll matter until you’re stood waiting forever with tired children on holiday. We also ordered what we thought was a standard strawberry daiquiri included in all inclusive, only to be told we had to pay extra. Then when my husband went to pay, a staff member told him to “just put the 10 euros in the tip jar,” which felt incredibly dodgy.Reception staff were rude and unhelpful too. I politely asked to change a €10 note after literally watching them do it for another guest earlier in the week, and was spoken to so abruptly. The only positives were the entertainment/kids club staff, who were lovely with our daughter, and our maid, who was genuinely kind and accommodating. We tipped her €10 after she kindly cleaned our room around our daughter’s nap time. The weather wasn’t great either, so the freezing pools didn’t help, although obviously that isn’t the hotel’s fault. Please use this review as the sign not to book here. Don’t be fooled by the positive reviews because we’ve literally just returned and it was honestly awful from start to finish. It’s genuinely put me off returning to Lanzarote altogether. Miguel Rincón, General Manager at Elba Lanzarote Royal Village Resort, responded to this review Dear Guest,First of all, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your recent stay with us.We are genuinely sorry to read that your experience did not meet your expectations. While we fully respect every guest’s opinion, we also feel it is important to clarify several points mentioned in your review.Regarding the buffet restaurant, hygiene and food safety standards at our hotel are subject to strict daily controls and regular inspections. Spillages in a busy buffet environment can occasionally happen during service periods, particularly with families and children, however our restaurant team continuously monitors and cleans all stations throughout service. We regret if at any moment you felt this was not handled quickly enough and your comments have already been reviewed with our Food & Beverage team to reinforce supervision during peak hours.Concerning bowls, glasses and table cleaning, replacement stock is replenished constantly during service. Nevertheless, during particularly busy moments there may occasionally be short waiting times, something our team always works hard to minimise. With regards to bottled water, the all-inclusive package includes unlimited access to water through the restaurant and beverage stations available throughout the day. Bottled water availability follows the operational format clearly established within the board basis conditions provided by tour operators and booking partners. Of course, our staff are always available to assist any guest requiring additional support or specific needs. We would also like to clarify that the snack service is intentionally designed to offer a varied casual selection during the day and we also offer a la carte options. Ice cream stock is replenished and on rare occasions of exceptionally high demand, some flavours or products may temporarily run out before the next scheduled replacement.Regarding the insects mentioned, Lanzarote’s climate unfortunately makes the occasional appearance of insects unavoidable across the island, particularly during warmer periods. Nevertheless, the hotel works with a professional pest-control company with continuous preventive treatments throughout the resort.Concerning the cocktail mentioned, some premium beverages and selected branded cocktails are not included within the All-Inclusive menu, as their preparation and production costs are higher and therefore require an additional supplement. Under no circumstances should any payment ever be suggested informally, and we take your comments seriously. This matter has been addressed internally with the corresponding department to ensure full compliance with our service procedures. We are also sorry if you perceived any member of our reception team as abrupt. Courtesy and professionalism are standards we expect from every employee, and your feedback has been shared with the Front Office Management team for review. At the same time, we truly appreciate your positive comments regarding our entertainment team, kids club staff and housekeeping service. We will be delighted to share your kind recognition with them, as they work very hard every day to create memorable holidays for our guests. We would welcome the opportunity to regain your confidence in the future and invite you to return so that we may provide you with the high standards of hospitality and service that we strive to deliver every single day.Yours sincerely,
