    Disappointing Hotel and Resort

    rating28 May 2026

Disappointing holiday for us. We specifically booked the H10 Lanzarote Princess this year after we had an amazing time at the H10 Lazarote Gardens in Costa Tiguise. Transfer to the hotel takes about 45mins. Just to repeat what a lot of people are saying the Airport Arrival and passport control is chaos, it took about an hour to get through, lots of angry, hot and sweaty people.Hotel & Rooms. Its a large hotel near the resort centre, personally the interior, rooms and communal area needs a bit of a refurbishment. The restaurant was more like a canteen, chaotic and noisey. Its a big open space with a small outside eating decked section. The adult food was good and had a good selection, although they appeared to be a few staff short as they were slow to replenish the food and clear away dirty tables. The kids food lacked choice. We had 2 rooms, 1012 and 1013. Please avoid these rooms if possible. Both rooms are near to the extractor fans for the kitchen so there was always low level noise and smells. 1013 has a tree at the rear near the balcony so it was always covered in leaves and there was no view or sun exposure. The hotel rooms at the hotel are also currently under some refurbishment. 1012 & 1013 are definitely the old style and in need of an update. Rooms on the ground floor have mainly been completed and from peaking a look seem a good upgrade. The refurbishment did mean some noise around by the pool but nothing too bad.Our youngest loved the kids club at the Lanzarote Gardens, this is one of the reasons we went for a similar brand Hotel. Kids club was on from 11am to 1245am and was for 5 to 7yrs old - no older groups available similar to the Lanzarote Gardens. Some days there was only one staff member on so numbers were limited to 15 which caused queues and disappointment. The staff put 100 % effort in and were great with the kids.PoolThe area around by the pools are fantastic. Its a great spacious area. There were plenty of sunbeds, towels will be removed if the beds are not being used which was a welcome sight. The pools were very cold although it's expected this time of year. The hotel does have a heated pool around to the side which was fantastic, our kids mainly spent there time at this one.Playa BlancaWe were very disappointed in Playa Blanca after our expectations were high. I found the main part of the resort a bit untidy. The sea front is lined with mainly restaurants which were all busy and the food looked great but it lacked bars to simply have a drink. We were half board so didn't need anywhere to eat.The hotel is about a 3 to 4minute walk to the main shopping area which wasn't anything impressive, mainly junk holiday plastic rubbish. In front of the hotel is a small entertainment complex with two good bars on the sea front called Harp Bar and Biker Bar which have large screens for sports and live bands / individuals on at a night. Drinks prices were very reasonable. The hotel also has a good beach within a 2minute walk, plenty of space if you didn't want to hire a sun bed. It had water sports hire and two fantastic beach bars at either end.Overall, we'll not be returning to either the hotel or the resort. A lovely hotel, in a great location.

    rating27 May 2026

Here’s the fully combined and polished review:We had a wonderful stay at H10 Lanzarote Princess and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lanzarote. One of the highlights of our trip was the Sakura Teppanyaki restaurant. It was a fantastic dining experience with four to five small courses, all freshly cooked in front of you. Every dish was full of flavour, and there was a great variety of options — for the meat course, for example, you could choose between chicken, steak, or duck. It was a real standout experience and definitely worth booking early, especially as it only opens twice a week.We also loved the Italian à la carte restaurant. The pizzas and pasta dishes were excellent, but the prawn salad and veal carpaccio were particularly delicious. The buffet restaurant offered a great selection at both breakfast and dinner. Breakfast included everything from a full English to lighter options such as fruit and cereals, plus an omelette and egg station. Tea, coffee, and juice are self-service, which occasionally caused small queues, but these moved quickly. The cava at breakfast was a lovely extra touch.Dinner at the buffet also had plenty of variety, including fresh meat and fish cooked to order, as well as pre-prepared dishes, salads, and paella. We especially enjoyed the Mexican-themed evening with tasty fajitas, tacos, and nachos. For lunch, the Cactus Bar was excellent, serving fresh baguettes, salads, and fried food cooked to order. The entertainment team were also fantastic — friendly, enthusiastic, and never at all pushy. There was a lovely mix of activities for both adults and children throughout the day. We particularly enjoyed the adults’ “Wine & Art” session, as well as a game similar to shuffleboard. They also offered water aerobics, stretching classes, and plenty of other activities to suit different interests. Although we didn’t personally attend the evening entertainment, there seemed to be a good variety of shows and events available each night. The pool area was lovely, with plenty of sun loungers available. A few additional sunshades would have been helpful, but there were enough if you found a good spot early. There are two large pools plus a children’s pool, with one pool partially indoors and heated. The main pool was spacious and a great depth for both adults and children, although overall I would say the hotel is particularly well suited to families. We also really enjoyed the mini golf, which is free to use. We played most afternoons and had great fun.The gym was small but well equipped. Air conditioning could have been better, but it was comfortable enough in the mornings with the doors and windows open.Unfortunately, we struggled to book a massage because the spa was fully booked, so I would definitely recommend arranging treatments in advance. The hotel itself was extremely clean and well maintained. Rooms were spacious and included an outdoor table and chairs. There was also a mini bar stocked with soft drinks, water, beer, and a couple of chocolate treats, which is complimentary on arrival but not replenished. The location was perfect — ideally situated between the town and the marina, both of which offer a great selection of bars, restaurants, and shops. We highly recommend Jungle Vibes restaurant at the marina, although it is very popular so booking is essential. There is also a handy supermarket directly opposite the hotel, accessible via the back gate near the mini golf, selling everything from snacks to beach inflatables. The marina market, held on Wednesdays and Saturdays, is also well worth visiting.Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. Great hotel good location

    rating24 May 2026

The staff are all friendly throughout. The food in the hotel was of a good quality but some dishes could have been warmer but made how the Spanish eat. We had no issues with the cleaners at all did a great job for the two weeks we were there. Would have given 5 stars but the building work was noisy early in the morning. We were given no information that renovation work was being carried out. Would use this Hotel again. A little disappointed

    rating21 May 2026

Overall the hotel is clean and well managed. However, we had daily cleaning issues whereas the bathroom wasn't cleaned for 3 days of our week's stay, and when it was cleaned, it wasn't very thorough.I accidentally dropped a pack of biscuits in the lounge area and crumbs went everywhere. I cleaned up what I could but without a brush and pan it wasn't very successful. Unfortunately the crumbs stayed on the floor all week 😟The restaurant was adequate, good choice of food, but they concentrated on quantity rather than quality and the food was only just warm Unfortunately we wouldn't stay here again. Guest Service Lanzarote Princess, Atención al cliente/recepción at H10 Lanzarote Princess, responded to this review Dear Angelacrouch1,Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your recent stay with us.We appreciate your comments highlighting the cleanliness and management of the hotel. Regarding the specific points you raised about the cleaning service and the food quality in our restaurant, please be assured that we have shared your observations with our departmental heads for their internal review.Upon receiving your feedback, we attempted to contact you via your room telephone and sent a follow-up email to offer our assistance. As we did not have the opportunity to speak with you personally, we regret that we were unable to address your concerns directly and improve your holiday experience while you were still with us.We value your input as it helps us monitor our service standards. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future to provide you with a more satisfying experience.Best regards, Isabel
