Location

This beach hotel lies in the outskirts of Puerto del Carmen, around 4 km from the airport. The beach is easily reached across the promenade which is traffic-free. In only a number of minutes, guests will arrive at numerous shopping venues, restaurants, bars and nightclubs. The centre is approximately 4 km away and is cheaply and easily reached using the regular bus service or by taking a taxi.

Facility

The hotel has 32 junior suites and 372 double rooms, which are located on 4 storeys and are reachable by lift. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities available at the hotel include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand, a TV room, a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Further services and facilities include a childcare service, a car hire service, medical assistance, room service (for a fee), an alarm call service, a laundry service, a hairdresser and a hotel shuttle bus. Active guests who wish to explore the surrounding area by bike will appreciate the bicycle hire service (for a fee). Bicycle storage is also available.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning. Guests can relax and enjoy the sea views from the balcony or private terrace of some rooms. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a refrigerator included among the standard features. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer. Cosmetic products and a selection of towels provide additional comfort in the bathrooms. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. The hotel has family rooms and 404 non-smoking rooms.

Sport

Guests can unwind and strike that perfect balance between exercise and relaxation in the outdoor pool area. There is a children's swimming area as well. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub (for a fee). A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. The hotel offers an extensive outdoor sport and leisure programme, which includes bocce, beach volleyball, crazy golf and archery. For a fee, guests can also enjoy cycling/mountain biking and tennis. Water sports on offer include snorkelling or, for a fee, water skiing and diving. Sports enthusiasts are also offered a wide range of indoor activities, including a gym, table tennis, billiards, darts and aerobics. There is a wellness area with a spa and a hammam and, for an additional fee, a sauna, a steam bath, a beauty salon, massage treatments, thalassotherapy treatments and a solarium. Leisure facilities include a kids' club, live music and a dance club.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a restaurant, a café and a bar. Catering options include half board and all-inclusive. A delicious and varied buffet is prepared for breakfast and dinner every day, and a set menu can be ordered at lunch. Diet meals and vegetarian dishes can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options and snacks are available. The hotel offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    If you are Spanish you’ll love this hotel. If you are any other nationality your experience will be below average! Good bits:- Close to airport - Spacious rooms- Good water pressure in shower - Oriental buffet was better than the rumours suggested Bad bits: - Service - if you are not Spanish the service is absolutely shocking. Rude. Horrible. Just horrible. - COCKROACHES - many of them. In restaurants, bars, bedroom (on 3rd floor) seriously everywhere! - Room wasn’t cleaned once or fresh towels. Bed was made daily. - Food is basic at best. Really really basic. Most fruit is tinned. Chips for breakfast, lunch and dinner. - Burger bar supposed to be open on 3 days wasn’t open once - Pizza/Oriental restaurants need booking. Told at reception they are ‘fully booked’ but literally 2/3 tables only turn up. We went to the Oriental restaurant on one evening and there was us and one other table only at 8pm. Research this hotel. It’s very very basic and not reflected in the price. And the service is shocking throughout (unless you are Spanish)

    I think the overall rating of 3.5 is accurate, I would have given that if I could. The room we were given was ground floor, room was dated but spacious and appropriate given the price we paid. It is good value for money. We didn't use the pool area, it seemed busy. We were half board. My partner who eats chicken and fish found the food good value, I am veggie and I coped but it was often chips and salad. I found the veggie pizza and pasta inedible. We both enjoyed the breakfasts. My partner had cooked breakfasts. We paid the same here for half-board as we normally do for self catering so if you want value for money it is great.

    We stayed here for a week - a bit of a mixed review. Location is great, right on the beach and it’s a lovely view. Some really great restaurants & shops a short walk away. Or walk further along into Puerto Del Carmen but it is a decent walk, we got a taxi. It was quiet when we were here, well I can imagine it’s a lot busier in summer months. No issue getting a sun bed at any time of the day. All staff were lovely & very helpful. Sometimes a little bit of a language barrier between British & Spanish but we always worked it out - and of course that’s expected. As others have said some parts of the hotel are a little run down or in need of updating, but honestly that didn’t bother us. It was clean and that was the main thing. The entertainment round the pool was non existent, there was music but you could barely hear it. Evening entertainment was a hit or a miss, some great nights but others were terrible - but you can’t please everyone. I’m sure others enjoyed it. We were all inclusive, we ate out the restaurant once for breakfast and couldn’t eat again. We’re not necessarily fussy eaters but we really struggled. Not much variety and some of the dishes looked questionable. We did go in one evening for a look and just walked back out. I’m not sure if there’s more options in summer months. We’ve maybe been spoiled in other all inclusive hotels - but there wasn’t even much fruit etc. We would only return if we were self catering (which I don’t think they do) or got a really good deal and didn’t mind paying the extra to eat out everyday. The food really let the place down for us unfortunately!
