  Lovely hotel, slight tweaks could take it to the next level

  I will start off by saying this is a very good hotel with lots to like. We have stayed in the hotel adjacent for the last 2yrs (Sentido Aequora) but this time we thought we’d try here as the reviews were decent and price far more palatable!!! We didn’t get off to a great start as my mother in law who is 70 and was staying in a room by herself, woke up on the first morning to find an employee had let himself in and was painting her bathroom so she slept every night with a chair up against the door. We chuckle now, and no harm intended, but this really shook her up and realistically is far from acceptable. Rooms are spacious with all amenities needed, location is great with a selection of bars/restaurants nearby. Food doesn’t have a huge selection like other hotels (and no specific kids station), but what was there was pretty tasty in all fairness. Drinks were standard AI stuff. Sunbed situation was ok with plenty of beds and a pool that is nice and big so never overcrowded. Snacks during the day were toasties, hot dogs, fries, and burgers. Upside is it was all freshly made, but the downside to that is I waited anything from 15-35 mins each time. Can’t have it all but do wonder what it would be like at busier times as bar staff take both food and drink orders which also has an effect on the queue for drinks.Entertainment was a bit disappointing…….animation guys are really friendly but it all just seemed a bit random with activities not matching what was advertised on the board, and a lot of the time you weren’t made aware of what was happening i.e you wouldn’t know aqua aerobics were going on until you heard the music. Night time was mini disco followed by a local act or some karaoke. Again, comparing it with other hotels where the animation team are front and centre I think a little more organisation and visibility is needed. Absolutely will return when the time comes!!!!! You are completely right while we are glad you can look back and chuckle now, it is absolutely unacceptable for a staff member to enter a room unannounced, and we deeply regret the distress this caused her. We have already addressed this with our maintenance and housekeeping teams to ensure stricter protocols are followed so this never happens again.We also really appreciate your insights regarding our food rotation, snack wait times, and the entertainment schedule. We always prefer quality over quantity, so we're glad the food was tasty and freshly made, but we completely understand how combining the food and drink queues can cause frustrating delays. Your feedback about needing more organization and visibility from our animation team is also incredibly valuable, and we will be sitting down with the team to tighten up our daily schedules and communication.It is the honest feedback from guests like you that helps us make those "slight tweaks" to truly reach the next level.We are so pleased to know that despite these hiccups, you would absolutely return!   Floresta Hotel Pocillos Lanzarote

  We had a fabulous 2 week holiday at the Floresta Hotel in Pocillos near PDC. The location is perfect. The hotel is lovely. Lots of sunbeds and great Breakfast and Dinner choices. The pools are lovely. The large one is heated in the winter season. They do need more dessert options though. Sara the reception lady is especially lovely friendly and caring. Theres a lovely huge beach opposite the Hotel and a great Bar called Marcos with live music every night. A Spar is nextdoor too. There are a nice set of shops and restaurants along the front too. If you want to go to PDC the buses are only 1 euro 40 cents each. Taxis are available too.   PORK PORK AND MORE PORK

  If you like pork this is your heaven every night there was pork loins, pork steaks, pork squeres, pork stew, pork everything. Not a bad hotel cleaning staff are nice receptionist nice everyone’s nice chefs is slightly rude but in the heat of the moment it was ok.Room spacious and clean white walls bar was great the coconut ice cream was great pool heated to 23 but however absolutely freeeeeezing.Not disability friendly Massive steep ramps and loads of steps Quite a quiet hotel but golly gosh the lady entertainer when she does the ram Sam song screams so loud and she’s entertaining but it was that loud she makes the kids jump out there skinSun beds are all taken at 7am I went out at 8.30 not one in sight mental Overall not the best but okay Vicente Cabrera, Otros at Hotel Floresta, responded to this review Dear customer, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.Regarding the variety of food, we aim to offer a wide selection each evening, and while pork dishes were indeed featured frequently during your stay, our buffet is regularly rotated to provide diverse options for all tastes.
