Location

The apartment complex is situated on a hillside with a wonderful view over the Atlantic in Puerto del Carmens. Various shopping and entertainment venues are located in the immediate vicinity. It is approximately a 10-minute walk to the fishing harbour and Playa Blanca beach is around 700 m away. There are regular local bus links nearby, enabling easy access to other areas.

Facility

80 apartments are located on 2 storeys and can be reached by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Services such as a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Other services include a 24-hour security service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service to explore the surrounding area. To assist guests with their business and communication needs, the business centre offers a fax machine.

Rooms

Rooms feature a living area, a kitchen and a bathroom, and air conditioning ensures just the right temperature. In most units, guests can enjoy a view of the sea from a balcony or terrace. The rooms have a king-size bed and a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available.     We holiday alot in many destinations and stay at many hotels ,some arent true to their ratings ,this hotel is true to its 5 star ,the staff are amazing ,freindly and very helpful which refreshing these days .Our room was very spacious ,clean ,great bed and quiet.( great nights sleep).The restuarants are clen with a great variety of food .We will return and tell others.

    Relaxing holiday in a beautiful hotel

    We enjoyed a 10 night stay at this beautiful hotel, on a bed and breakfast basis, in a classic suite. For us it was the perfect spot for chill out and relaxation. The rooms are spacious, with a large outdoor terrace, including furniture. The breakfast choices are extensive and of excellent quality. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. We liked being far enough away from the strip to have peace and quiet, an oasis of calm, but also having so much choice of bars and restaurants within 15 minutes walk. I hope we can come back soon, and can highly recommend.     Amazing hotel fabulous holiday

    We have just got back from 10days we arrived late and was met by friendly welcome from reception and a chilled glass of bubbly It was amazing holiday really relaxing chill out holidayWe upgraded to a pool facing suite which was lovely The suite are really spacious with outside private space with sunbeds and table and chairs My highlight was the breakfast large selection of fresh food and a menu for any extras The staff are amazing so friendly, helpful and attentive They go out of there way to make your stay so memorable Danielle customer service is always checking everything is good Jose the barman had lots of knowledge and very entertaining making the cocktails and drinks Very welcoming and friendly But all the staff are amazing We will definitely booking to go back It's in a good location with easy access to buses to get around the island Also near restaurants and bars and shops all within easy walking distance Thank you to all the staff for a fabulous holiday and your hotel is lovely La Isla y el Mar Hotel Boutique, Atención al cliente/recepción at La Isla y El Mar Hotel Boutique, responded to this review Dear guest, We are delighted that you had such a lovely stay at our hotel.     A wonderfully friendly hotel

    We had a lovely stay at the hotel. It was a standard room but it was extremely comfortable, quiet, clean and spacious with a lovely spot to sit outside. The staff were all fantastic and friendly: cleaners, restaurant and bar staff, as well as the reception and customer service team - too many to name personally but we genuinely felt like we were welcomed into a community. The breakfast and dinners were very good. The change in approach to the dinner menu part way through our stay made a positive difference. The town is overall less impressive but we enjoyed impressive costal and volcano walks, and some lovely tapas, wine bars and coffee shops.     Our 2nd stay and this time we opted to try half board. On arrival we received a friendly greeting and were promptly taken to our room. Rooms here are excellent with a large double bed, good sized bathroom and a large lounge area with a sofa and separate chair. Well stocked mini bar but it’s expensive. Small fridge available which we used to store water. There is a small outer area with chairs and loungers. We also had a view of the old town and harbour. Hotel grounds contain mature trees/shrubs and all public areas are well attended. Pool area contains comfortable loungers and the bar and staff look after all your needs. As indicated we stayed half board this time. Breakfast again was good with plenty of selection. The evening menu was changed during our stay to full a’la carte options. We had issues with the food selection as sides were literally done away. We approached staff and were able to order extra if requested. Some strange options were presented. Special thanks to Daniela for her care and attention during our stay. She certainly went out of her way to resolve any complaints we presented. No issue too small. Another mention to Carlos who looked after us in the restaurant Small bar available adjacent to the restaurant. If we return to this excellent hotel we would probably opt to stay b+b.
