Location

This welcoming hotel is located in the tourist centre of Playa Blanca just 300 m from the nearest pebble beach. Timanfaya volcano, the Janubio salt works, Ajaches Nature Park and Papagayo beaches are to be found in the vicinty.

Facility

The complex has a lift and features 83 suites. The friendly staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. A playroom, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a laundry service, a hairdresser, a conference room and a projector are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Services include a hotel shuttle bus. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service to explore the surrounding area.

Rooms

Rooms feature a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. Air conditioning ensures comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed or a sofa bed. Guests can also book separate bedrooms. Children's beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. There is a fully-equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator, stovetop, microwave and tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, satellite television and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. A hairdryer, bathrobes and a telephone are available for daily use. Family rooms are available for parents with children.

Sport

The outdoor pool complex includes a children's swimming area and is ideal for working out or just relaxing. Refreshing drinks at the pool bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub offer the perfect way to unwind. Sun loungers and parasols are available on the sun terrace. The hotel offers outdoor sports, including cycling/mountain biking, tennis, volleyball, archery and Nordic walking. Alternatively, guests can try out aquafit or, for a fee, kayaking. A wide range of indoor sporting activities are also offered, for example a gym, darts, yoga and aerobics or, for a fee, billiards and squash. Various wellness options are available at the complex, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a beauty salon, massage treatments, hydrotherapy treatments and a solarium. Leisure facilities include an entertainment programme, a kids' club and a kids' disco.

Meals

The dining area includes a restaurant with air conditioning and a bar. Catering options include half board and all-inclusive. All-inclusive holidaymakers enjoy special extras like snacks and vegetarian dishes, in addition to a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. A generous breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner offer plenty of delicious variety. Staff are also happy to provide gluten-free meals. The show cooking is a particularly special attraction.

    Location fantastic, pool great, view from the front was spectacular. Evening meal was hit and miss but breakfast ok. Drinks were reasonable from the bar. Staff all friendly especially Andrew who takes your cases was so helpful and should be management. Rubicon definitely recommend, especially Lanis snak bar at the harbor.

    Location fantastic. Food was hit and miss in the evening so ate out a lot. Staff were very friendly and helpful especially Andrew in reception, he such be management as went beyond helpful

    We enjoyed the hotel. The spa was wonderful and for €20 each for an hour and half was a good deal. The food was average nothing really stands out. The staff were friendly and always on hand. The room was very clean and serviced everyday if you wanted it to. We can’t give an opinion on the entertainment because we didn't go to any, it’s not our thing without the kids.

    An excellent location particularly as we had a sea front room. A quiet area of Playa Blanca and could walk for several mikes along the coastal path. The staff were all very helpful and hard working. The pool area was beautiful with an interesting shape and heated slightly. There were always sun beds available. On the whole the food was good with a great variety. However, the dining area felt and sounded like a canteen. The inner, small semi-open area was more spacious and comfortable. The reception staff say that the restaurant is being refurbished soon to try to avoid this canteen/echoing feel. The bedroom was spacious but there was no extractor fan in the bathroom and the sheets became creased as they were a little rough and too small for the bed. However the mattress toppers worked well. In conclusion we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again if the restaurant ambience is improved.

    A wonderful hotel, great welcome , excellent service, lovely room , ideal for a relaxing break and 10 minute walk from excellent Rubicon Marina and shops.The staff were all friendly, relaxed and genuine. Food excellent, no flashy chefs, waiters just great service.A great break after a long winter and we will definately come back .
