  Set your expectations and you'll have a great time

  We had a good holiday overall, but there are definitely a few things worth mentioning to set your expectations.The room was very spacious as we paid extra for a larger room with a separate bedroom, and that made a huge difference for us. The maids were brilliant and cleaned exceptionally well every day.However, the beds were firm (but ok once got used to them) and one of the two pillows was strange — very bobbly and overly fluffy. There were also no tea bags in the room and they were never replenished, which feels like a basic expectation for a 4-star hotel. I understand not replacing bottled water daily for sustainability reasons, but even 1–2 refillable glass bottles in the room would have been appreciated.The “mini bar” is really just a cooler rather than a fridge, although it was enough for us to keep things like salami and cheese for lunches. There’s a Spar shop very close by which is well stocked and convenient.The slides are quite small and really only suitable for children under 6. We were disappointed they replaced what could have been another pool area with a splash pad, as our kids had little interest in it and most people crowded around the main pools instead. The coral pool was lovely — saltwater with a gentle ramp entry — but the flooring around all pool areas is extremely slippery. We saw so many children slipping over, even just walking carefully.A few other points:You have to pay €3 per day for the safe, which really should be included in a 4-star hotel.Pool towels require a €15 refundable cash deposit each.Late checkout was expensive at €40 for just 3 extra hours but worth it!The snooker table by the pool was never used and that space could probably be better used for additional sunbeds.There are no parasols, although people seemed happy enough moving between sun and shaded areas.More sunbeds around the pool would definitely help.Food and drinks were a bit mixed but enough to choose from each day. Wouldn't want to do more than 7 days! The morning coffee wasn’t great and the juices were extremely sweet — even the kids found them too sugary.Entertainment wasn’t amazing, but the children enjoyed it especially the magicians, acrobats and dancers. Beach was short walk, beds roughly 10 euro for 2. Beach sandy, lovely and shallow for kids to play in. Plenty of space when tide goes out for ball games. Shops and restaurants good to eat and browse. We had lunch here la Barrita, and the Italian one upstairs.I know I’m being picky in places, so don’t let this put you off booking. You’ll still have a lovely holiday — just go with realistic expectations and you’ll probably enjoy it a lot more.

  We have visited this hotel multiple times over the last 4 years. It has always been a pleasant experience however on this occasion its been a mixed bag. Full review to follow but wanted to comment about the new animation team. It was sad to see all the usual people who are now friends not performing but the new team is friendly and fun. SVAN and MARINA and the lady with the short black hair have been superb. Friendly, inclusive and very encouraging. My kids loved their company. They thought it was hilarious being pushed into the pool. The most fun was the water polo and baskets where they actually joined in. Well done new animation team.   Absolutely Amazing! Clean and Good Vibes ☀️

  What can i say, after a poor experience at a highly rated hotel in gran canaria last year (as a black family), i was a bit apprehensive about this visit. I could not have been happier to stay at this hotel! 😍 Absolutely beautiful! & Clean! exceptional customer service by all staff from the bar to the reception, cleaners and entertainment staff! Close to beach, shops and Rancho Texas (which was amazing, we did the sea lion experience there). Food could have been better, as i felt it became repetitive and tasted same-ish. However the food was still of good standard! Entertainment staff were great as kids enjoyed waterbasket and other activities. Comfortable spacey rooms. We had a great time at this hotel overall would DEFINITELY recommend! Trust me you won't regret visiting this hotel.   Excellent stay and clean rooms

  Excellent stay, Rooms are spotless, food is good and plenty of variety, the mussels, 1 night where out of this world. Pizza is fantastic, salad bar, rice and pasta salads are excellent.
