Location

Ideal for beach holidaymakers, active holidaymakers and families, this resort is situated in a quiet area in Playa Blanca, a few metres from the sandy beach. The nearest shops can be reached within about 1 km.

Facility

The resort was modernised in 2023. The resort has 414 apartments, which are located on 2 storeys and are reachable by 12 lifts. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. A car hire service, medical assistance, a theatre hall and a coin-operated laundry are available. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. Everyday necessities can be purchased at the supermarket. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park for no extra charge.

Rooms

The rooms include air conditioning, a living area and a bathroom. Guests can enjoy the view of the pool from a balcony or terrace. A sofa bed ensures a good night's sleep. For young travellers, children's beds can be provided. A safe provides secure storage for guests' personal property. There is a fully-equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator, stovetop, microwave and tea/coffee station. A telephone, satellite television and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Bathrooms include a hairdryer and are equipped with a shower and a bathtub. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-accessible rooms can also be booked.

Sport

Guests can take an invigorating dip in the outdoor pool area. There is a children's swimming area with 5 pools as well. A waterslide guarantees plenty of fun for young and old, and the pool bar provides sustenance and refreshing drinks. Guests can relax and enjoy the sun loungers and parasols provided. The resort offers an extensive outdoor sports programme, including tennis, bocce, beach volleyball, basketball and archery. Cycling/mountain biking is organised by third-party operators. Third-party operators offer windsurfing, kitesurfing and diving. A wide range of indoor sporting activities are also offered, for example a gym, table tennis and darts or, for a fee, billiards and table football. There is a wellness area with a sauna and a hammam and, for an additional fee, a spa and massage treatments. Additional leisure activities include a kids' club, a kids' disco and live music.

Meals

A dining room and a bar are available to guests. Half board can be booked. A delicious and varied buffet is prepared for breakfast and dinner. Gluten-free meals, lactose-free food and vegan food can be prepared on request.

    This is the worst hotel ever. You can’t even get a towel each to have a shower despite making 3 requests. We are all paying the same price but despite asking and the hotel say they will send towels, they don’t.     This was our third time to this hotel and it did not disappoint! We booked this break to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we had the best time!The hotel rooms are clean and spacious and the grounds are very pretty with many pools and palm trees. I contacted the hotel with a request before my holiday started and was blown away with the helpfulness and care that they provided especially Patricia who could not do enough for us. We are extremely grateful. The pool area is wonderful and you choose whether you want to use the main pool or one of the many smaller ones dotted around the complex. Pool bar had some amazing cocktails and the Pizza was also really nice. You could opt to have pizza to take away which I thought was great and we sat and ate ours on our balcony. The hotel is only a 10/15 min walk to the beach and promenade of playa blanca and nice and central between the harbour and the marina.All of the staff we encountered were extremely friendly and we look forward to booking again. Thank you all at Thb tropical island for helping us make some more special memories!     10th stay at THB Tropical Island Playa Blanca since 2022.We've been visiting Lanzarote for 20ish years, stayed at various resorts, hotels, but happily a few years ago another hotel could not us meet our dates and we chose THB, A stroke of luck and we would not go anywhere else if visiting Lanzarote.What brings our family back:Staff - they put holiday makers first and want everyone to have their best holiday.Pools - loads of them to suit everyone.Adults only pool - peaceful and newly refurbished.Hotel grounds - so much greenery and well maintained.Sunbeds - 100s of them no fights at 6am for one!Rooms - really spacious and well maintained, I don't care if my favourite/preferred room is dated, it's kept clean and fresh by maids, I get fresh towels, bedding etc regularly, no need to ask.Restaurants - great value/choice at the buffet restaurant and Atlantic for take away or eat in for pizza, pasta etc, plus same price for eating in our takeaway!Issues - sorted within minutes.Entertainment - for kids and adults.Location - 10 minutes to "town" and beach or 15 minutes to marina.Hotel - spacious and quiet.     Me and my family loved our holiday here , kids loved the pools and the show each night , kids club was good anytime they used it was a bit quiet but understandable this time of the year , first time in playa blanca and really enjoyed it will be back.     We have just returned from the hotel and I wanted to write a review to thank all the staff we encountered. I travelled for a last minute short trip with my youngest two kids without my husband. My son had a medical emergency on our first night, which was not a nice experience in a foreign country. Patricia the hotel manager was absolutely amazing to us during our time there, she provided us with everything we needed and checked on us daily, I felt safe staying there. All the staff were kind and helpful that we encountered.
