Location

The villas are located in one of the quietest and safest areas of Puerto del Carmen, about 500 m from the centre. Guests have the opportunity to enjoy everything that a beautiful tourist area has to offer, without having to endure the overcrowded streets and the excessive noise usually found in such places. Everything they need, including restaurants, shops, links to the public transport network and the beach, can be found within 600 metres of the villas.

Facility

The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. The hotel provides a baggage storage service, a safe, a library, a car hire service, medical assistance, a fax machine and a theatre hall. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. There are a number of shops as well. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (no extra charge). A bicycle hire service provides all the necessary equipment for exploring the surrounding area.

Rooms

Rooms feature a kitchen and a bathroom. Adjustable central heating ensures comfortable temperatures. Guests have a sea view from the balcony or terrace, which are standard amenities of some rooms. Rooms include a double bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a minibar are also available. There is a fully-equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, tea/coffee station and dishwasher. There is also a washing machine and an ironing set. A telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a DVD player and WiFi ensure optimal comfort. The bathrooms have a shower, a bathtub and a bidet. A hairdryer is also provided. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. The hotel has family rooms and non-smoking rooms.

Sport

The sports and entertainment facilities at the hotel ensure that guests have plenty of activities to choose from during their stay. Guests can enjoy a refreshing swim in the outdoor pool area. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent. There are many ways to relax or stay active at the hotel, including golf, a gym, a spa and a solarium. A dance club and a nightclub round out the entertainment options.

    Bright rooms, good location - but not quite the boutique experience it aims to be

    We stayed at Hotel Juliani for the final part of our Malta trip and left with rather mixed feelings.There is a lot to like at first glance: the setting on Spinola Bay is pleasant and lively without feeling overwhelming, our sea-view room was bright and spacious, and after a somewhat difficult check-in, the hotel made a sincere gesture to recover the moment – something we genuinely appreciated.However, the overall experience remained below expectations in several important areas.The suite category felt more generous in description than in reality, breakfast was underwhelming (particularly the quality of bread, cheese and cold cuts), and the culinary experience at Zest unfortunately did not live up to its reputation. It felt more performative than memorable, while the food itself was not especially convincing.What surprised us most was that, despite being a relatively small hotel, the guest experience often felt transactional rather than personal. Even at check-out, there was no real curiosity about how the stay had been – just a polite farewell.Hotel Juliani works well as a base to explore Malta, but in our experience it lacks some of the warmth, refinement and quiet excellence that define truly memorable boutique hospitality.

    I have stayed at Hotel Juliani multiple times and every visit has been an exceptional experience. Starting with the staff, from front desk to room attendees and food & beverage, all are friendly, helpful and professional. Rooms have a lovely decor and are always spotless. Amenities such as the rooftop pool area and small but adequate gym are lovely. Zest restaurant is not to be missed. I look forward to my next stay at this lovely establishment.

    We just spent 7 nights at the Hotel Juliani in Malta (St. Julian). We stayed in a Designer Suite with Sea View room. The room itself was as advertised - clean, well appointed, with a great view. The hotel is also exceptionally well located at the tip of Spinola Bay in St. Julian with restaurants, cafe's, and shopping all around. But what made the stay special was all of the staff at the Hotel Juliani, especially in the lobby restaurant. You order a coffee the first morning and the rest of the week, the staff remember what you drink (large flat white with extra espresso shots). The staff were extremely welcoming - as if all of the guests had been there for months and had become close friends. The staff were very engaging which is very unusual for a hotel outside of Asia (IMHO). I'm not typically fond of stays in European hotels but the last time I had a stay this pleasant in Europe was nearly 4 years ago at the Serras Barcelona. Well done Hotel Juliani - you knocked it out of the park.
