  Terrible Stay!!! Horrible service!!!

  We stopover for 1 night in Leon to split our road trip between Portugal to San Sebastian and stay in NH Hotel Leon. And it’s one of our biggest mistake on the trip. When arrived we followed google map and it’s brings us to the back door, there’s a bell to talk to the reception but he are not allowed to open the back door, so we had to walk around the block. We arrived almost midnight after a long drive and many stops in between, and expected to have a good night sleep and rest before going to other cities the next day. But we end up almost not sleep at all here. The aircon is hot the whole night even though we have set it to the max, and the hotel is very noisy at night as it’s located right in Plaza Mayor where the bars and night club is alive the whole night. Even though the have use a sound proof balcony doors, the sound of people singing, the bar’s music and the yelling of all the drunk clubbers can still heard from the room. At 2 am, i call to reception to complaint about the aircon not working, and he said that that’s the way it is as the weather outside is 10 degree, so their aircon can not working in a cold weather. He suggest us to open the balcony door to let the cold air in, but when we did it the party noise from outside is crazily annoying. We end up almost not sleeping at all, open up the balcony door for a while when it gets too hot, and close it again cause the noise is too terrible. It goes the whole night. The noise goes on up until 5 am where some drunk people still yelling and singing on the plaza. Instead of getting a good night rest, we ended up almost sick due to not sleeping the whole night. The next morning when check out i made a hard complaint to a different reception guy about the aircon, and he answer the same with such a cold face and without saying sorry or whatsoever at all. The is the most Horrible service i ever had. And that’s the most ridicilous reason to answer your guests. Dude, there’s a reason people call it air conditioner!!! We use it to conditioned the room temperature! If it’s too hot we use it to make it colder, vice versa. If the air outside is cold, do you expect your guests to open the window to cool off the room? Even without open the window the noise from outside is very annoying, and you expect people to sleep with doors open and hearing all the party and yelling sound whole night long? Use your simple logic man!!! I very rarely write a bad review on hotels. But this NH hotel at Leon Plaza Mayor is an exception that i need to write off, so other guests not experience the same. Super bad service and terrible stay!!!

  This hotel is best avoided if you want a good nights sleep - loud music from nearby club or bar goes on into the early hours.
