clean, friendly, well situated no frills hotel

    rating25 Oct 2025

we were a group of 12 people and it was perfect for our requirements. It was clean and staff were super helpful (I must single out Moises who was so helpful and the lovely lady at breakfast each morning who was so friendly). Bedrooms had all the basics needed and although this hotel is not fancy, it is really well situated beside the bus station, very close to the old wall/historic centre and it had a good selection of food for breakfast (although nothing hot). Excellent value for money in my opinion.

    Perfect location

    rating30 Aug 2025

I must have been lucky as I met the nicest receptionist called Andrea at the modern Exe Puerto de San Pedro hotel. Not all are as friendly. It is truly convenient for all the tourist places and Plazas. I was on the 8th floor which was my choice as I wanted a quieter room as the hotel is on a busy road. I was shown the room which was an attic room but surprisingly spacious with two single beds and a nice bathroom with a shower. The narrow velux window in the bedroom showed the top of the houses and mountains and was nice and quiet. There’s no restaurant on site but plenty in the nearby plaza and I found a place on my walk called Breoghan which if you buy any drink gives you a choice of two tapas! The tapas were delicious and despite being a cramped room was worth it and there’s also space outside. It’s not a long walks to do the whole of the Roman wall that encircles Lugo though I didn’t attempt it.Breakfast in the morning was excellent and there was something for eery taste. Health food, cakes & pastries, meats, cheese, fruit & yogurt. Coffee was not great and there’s only Earl Grey tea but I always take tea with me.A lovely stay and a perfect location and a shout-out to Andrea whose smile lights up the room.

    Excellent Stop for Camino

    rating26 May 2025

Great location just outside the city walls. Friendly team at check in although it took a while to get the passport details in (really they need to do this in advance!). Room had a bath (which can be great on Camino). Lots of space in the room, huge sideboard for sorting bags, very comfortable beds. Toiletries provided. Tiny lift. Breakfast was really good so was glad to opted to have it there. We were well fed before we set out on a long day.

Nice, new hotel just outside the city walls

    rating19 Jul 2023

Stayed one night as part of the Camino. The hotel is just outside the old city walls, and you can easily walk to the old town. The hotel is quite new and has nice, clean rooms - though not very large. The staff is friendly and helpful, and all speak some English. The buffet breakfast was great, lots of choices and freshly brewed coffee. Also good non gluten options.
