  It was a very good stay. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was amazing! The hotel was nice and quiet. The staff provided excellent service and kept the place clean. We loved the location because it was close to where we had to be. Overall the atmosphere and value made this a great stay.

  Good people at the front desk decent breakfast and rooms were clean. Quiet at all times not much noise. Would stay there again and would recommend it if you need it for Mayo Clinic or work trips.

  Everything We Needed and More

  My husband and I spent nine nights at the Hampton Inn Rochester South in October and November, 2025, while I was a patient at Mayo Clinic. Our stay was excellent in many ways, starting with the welcoming smiles of Amanda, Joey and Miguel. The breakfast area and eating area were always spotless; hot breakfast menu rotated daily and was always good. Waffles, yogurt, juices, fruit, cereal and oatmeal were also available. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and ice water were available 24/7. Our room was generous and the bed was very comfortable. There was a laundry room for guests. The shuttle to Mayo Clinic worked very well and saved us from parking problems with all the current construction. A special treat was complimentary hot soup, bread, crackers and corn muffins on Sunday through Thursday evenings from 6-7:00pm. We felt very well cared for at the Hampton Inn and will be going back soon.

  Forget the downtown places, the Hampton was 10 minutes from the Mayo, significantly cheaper and had free parking. Mayo ramp was affordable as well. Impressively quiet on the 3rd floor. Hotel breakfast including 3 warm items was fine and served until 10 AM weekdays. Pool area and Fitness area open 24 hours. Kwik Trip 2 blocks south, HyVee grocery and Trader Joe's about 5 minutes away. It does have the world's slowest elevator and when it doesn't open for 30 seconds to the 3rd floor you are not actually trapped inside. It will eventually open. Really.Tip - more parking to the right when you enter the parking area from Broadway and you are closer to the elevator from the 'north' lot when you park there.
