  Don't be put off by the name this is more like a Hotel

  From check in at 10.30pm ( 24 hour check in ) everything was great I challenge anyone to find a quieter cleaner better value stay in central Madrid.Fridge in the room was nice plus complimentary cava & water, the Hostal is central but in a quiet street plenty of bars and restaurants 100 meters in either direction .Close to 2 metro stations and a Lidl just down the road for supplies , Plaza Mayor is less than 5 mins away and all major attractions within walking distance

  September 2022 - Room size normal, very clean, 24-hour reception and friendly staff. Excellent location in the city with many shops and supermarkets in the area, it is possible to reach the real center of Madrid in a very short time. Good price.

  Great place to stay! Clean, centrally located, very close to the Metro, simple and very pleasnt, comfortable room and bed. The refrigerator was a nice detail as was the wifi. My room overlooked the patio, so was quiet. The staff is amazingly gracious and helpful!! I stayed here my last nights after a month in Spain and it was the perfect end to a wonderful trip.

  We have recently returned from a trip to Spain that included several days in Barcelona and a few more in Madrid where we stayed at this little hostal. I will say that I wasn’t 100% sure what I was getting us into and was certainly skeptical since I have never stayed in a Hostal and had my own ideas on what they were. Took a chance based on Tripadvisor reviews and I’m glad we did. For the money, location and staff (Judy), there is no better place to stay. The hostal was located within a minute walk of supermarkets, Metro stop and some restaurants and bars. Also about a 5 minute walk to the very popular Plaza De Sol. Very clean rooms that appear to have been updated very recently. Beds were comfortable and the room has everything you need to spend several nights or even a week if you are in town for that long. Judy was an absolute sweetheart from the time we arrived. Extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived early and the room was not ready but she quickly took our luggage and stored it for us and then gave us the rundown of the city and highlighted the sites to see. She also gave us keys to the main doors and the room. When we arrived back at the hostal, our luggage had been placed in our room by Judy. Very thoughtful. Sometimes it’s the little things that leave an impression and makes the experience that much better. One other thing, the hostal offers discounted tickets for breakfast from several coffee shops in the area. We took advantage of these several times and it worked out well. Also purchased some tickets from Judy to visit the City of Toledo for the day. If you have never been to Toledo, GO!!! This place was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen. Very reasonable prices from the hostal for this as well.   Madrid is rich in culture and in life in general.One has to choose wisely in order to plan well and see all important attractions. Hostal art Madrid is the best place to be - central, walking distance from main squares and centres and above all the staff are so helpful! Loved our stay there! Our rooms were very clean. Fantastic value for money.
